Purchases will move.
I guess that's one more thing to add to this list https://killedbygoogle.com/
The problem with YouTube music is that the free version doesn't allow you to stream music in the background and there are tons of ads which is pretty much a deal breaker.
Have you downloaded the music you've purchased? Once I buy it, I own it, so I always download it to my PC to add to my local library. Then I don't have to worry about cloud availability.Phew! Thank goodness! I figured they probably would be ported, but it's still a huge relief!!!!
If any of you have Amazon Prime you can listen to music for free. They do offer a premium version but the free version works pretty good. I don't recall all of the details in differences because I use Spotify mostly.
if I upgrade beyond a 64 GB device I should be able to have my entire collection on my phone and pick some alternate media player.

I'm right there with you... I've never used Amazon for music ever. Only Google or now Spotify.I haven't used Amazon for music in a few years but the main difference than was the music available. The premium version offered a lot more artists and albums. Sort of like how only some movies are included in prime.

I'm aware of that but when I did use it, the limitations didn't kill my experience. The premium version is only an additional 7.99 and believe there is a 3 month trial available.Prime Music is pretty limited in terms of selection. It might even limit certain songs within an album.
