Hi guys.
Do you guys know if the $30 4g plan works with galaxy s4 I9500 (international version??)
Thanks Scott!
Two last questions:
1. If I have enough balance in my account, let's say I still have $60 in my account after I paid this time, will they automatically charge $30 from my account after 30 days? Or do I will have to like go online and choose something like "refill by using the balance in my account"? I just want to know if they automatically charge and continue the service as long as I have enough balance in my account.
2. I have a T-mobile number now and I want to keep it and move it to the $30 prepaid plan. Do I do this online after I get all the procedures that you mentioned done?
Thank you!

And if you are using Google Voice to forward calls you can get a Skype number for $5/month and their unlimited calls plan for $2.99. So unlimited/unlimited/5gb for about $38/month.How many minutes will you likely use? If you go over it's 10? per minute over 100 (or an extra $10 per 100 minutes), so you can still keep the cost well under $70.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 supports 850/900/1900/2100 for 3G, so it's missing the 1700 band for T-Mobile. It looks like you won't be able to get 3G speeds for T-Mobile unless you're in an area that is refarmed for the 1900 band. However, you will be able to get the slower 2G speeds.
1. You can set up your T-Mobile account to automatically renew your plan and deduct $30 every 30 days to avoid any service interruptions. If you don't have auto renewal set up, T-Mobile will send a free text message to your phone before the next renewal date. (I think it's 3 days before it's due.) That is a friendly reminder for you to add money into your account.
2. From what I understand, you can move a T-Mobile number to the $30 plan, but not directly. Strictly speaking, the $30 plan is only good for NEW accounts. If you have an existing T-Mobile number, that is not considered a new account. Have you considered porting your existing T-Mobile number to Google Voice? That is one way to handle this problem. Another way is to port your existing number to another provider (e.g. AT&T) and then port it back to T-Mobile, but that can be more complicated.
I hope this answers your questions. If you have any more, please ask!
Thanks Scott! I prefer not to port my number to Google voice because I don't want to change my number. So the only way is porting my old number to another carrier and then port back to my new prepaid plan?
Has anyone here successfully switched your old T-Mobile number to the new T-Mobile prepaid plan directly?
Hi~ Did you have a contract wit T-Mobile before you switched to the $30 prepaid plan? If you switched your old T-Mobile number to the new prepaid plan successfully, could you please tell me exactly how to? Thank you so much!I originally got my Nexus 4 on a two year contract in February. After I paid the first bill, I cancelled the contract by signing up a new account on the T-Mobile site and choosing the port my number option and then filling in my # from the old T=Mobile contract. It transfers it instantly.
Just sign up for the plan, creating a new account. It will give you the chance to port the number over. You just use that. It will close the old account. You need a new sim card to do this.Hi~ Did you have a contract wit T-Mobile before you switched to the $30 prepaid plan? Since the phone was offered for free with a two year contract In February, once I paid the first months bill the phone was officially mine. I cancelled the day after paying my bill by simply porting my number over to a new account. About a week later, I got the bill with an ETF of $115. I paid it and got a statement saying the account was paid in full and there was no additional amount owed. The first months bill was $140 and the ETF $115 so that was much cheaper than buying the phone through Google. The phone was the 16GB model. Thanks for sharing your experience, NexusGirlX! I thought you couldn't port a T-Mobile number within T-Mobile, but I'm glad I was wrong! You basically just switched plans, which is a good thing since it gives customers more choice.
By the way, did your contract come with an ETF, or did you have to pay off the remaining balance for the price of your phone? I heard T-Mobile wants to do things differently from the other carriers.
