Issue while transferring data to phone via usb for my Galaxy J7 prime

The issue started all of a sudden. Upon connecting via USB, on laptop I do see the phone icon but when I click on it, it gives error " You don't have permission to access this device". I get option on phone use usb for : transferring media, transferring video, MIDI and charging. By default it comes with transferring media files.

Please advise.

Welcome to Android Central! Where are you seeing that error -- in Windows Explorer?

Try using a different USB cable, or a different USB port on the computer.
