Issues with YouTube

Really considering trading in my Tab 2 for a newer tablet. Lately, I've had major problems using YouTube. Videos will play initially, however, eventually I have to clear the app's cache in order to continue using it. It is getting frustrating! I have an S4 and I never have that issue. I'm thinking this device is starting to show its age.

Anyone else having issues with YouTube?

No problems here. Just watched a review of a custom ROM for my S3. Since the updates, have you cleared cache in recovery?

Thanks, haven't tried that. How would I go about doing that? Is there a section in this forum that explains how?
