For those of you still awaiting delivery and wondering about the LED notification I thought I would just add the following:
1) it is SUPER bright, especially when compared to the original Nexus 5. The OG Nexus 5, as I'm sure most of you will know, is one single round muted LED. The 5X LED is made up of 9 tiny LED's arranged in a square. You can't really tell in this short video https://photos.google.com/share/AF1...?key=bTRrTjNVUl9VOV9NWV85Q3U0TkxHY1RsR2R6QlpR but they can easily been seen with the naked eye.
2) On my OG Nexus I was using LED Blinker Pro with no issues. On the 5X I found that it wasn't triggering for all notifications (tried a reboot and checked all settings). I have since opted for LED Flow and now all is good. Blinker Pro may well work for you but I had issues.
Again it is SUPER bright which has its' advantages in certain scenarios such as outside in daylight but I assure you at night in a darkened bedroom you will want to be laying this sucker face down !
