I've got the EVO - ask me anything!

I thought of another simple question...what is the amperage on the charger? I'm curious if it will correctly charge on usb almost as fast as wall charger or if it needs something crazy like 2A.

It's the standard HTC charger that they've been using for a couple years now.

For it being a (smart) phone, I think we really forgot an important area to ask about. I do not believe that I have seen anyone ask, but how is the voice quality? Is it possible that you can call the other EVO and see if you can notice the HD quality that is coming to Sprint? I am not sure all of the towers have been upgraded yet, and I apologize if this has been covered in the past.

I found Android Central a month or two ago, and it is really nice to find people that are excited about Android and respectful of posters, even when they ask silly questions.

I finally joined just to say thanks and participate a little. I appreciate all the coverage here.

Can you verify if the the Evo is having the same multitasking issues the One x is having? This is a big one for me! http://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?t=172670

Issues? I've been using Sense for a month now and haven't been bothered by the multitasking. To each his own, I guess.

That said, yeah. There are some bugs present in Sense (and I've already found one that's fixed on the EVO -- where the sharing options don't adapt to what you actually use).

Thanks for the kind words!

So something to remember about the HD voice stuff ... It's not going to be live on the network for a while, and it only works when both callers have phones that support it.

That said, I was at a Sprint networking (as in towers and stuff) breakfast the other day at CTIA.and they reminded us that HD voice actually is a standard, so eventually we might see it as the standard on all phones. But let's face it -- we'll be talking about the EVO 4G Super LTE Advanced by then. :p

Hey Phil...I noticed that you said that you have the Media Link HD. When you get a chance to really test it, please report back your findings. Is it more of a gimmick or an accessory that we should definitely consider.

Thanks for your time.

Oh, BTW ... This works just fine.

Been using it for a few weeks now. It's very cool, and very simple to use. Haven't written anything yet because the software's still a tad buggy, but HTC says they're pretty close on that.

Works for me...I may go ahead and bite the bullet. Thanks for the quick response!

I know the phone wouldn't say this, but when you got the phone from HTC/Sprint, did they say anything about off-contract price? I know BestBuy is saying $700, but I'd like to double check on if other places are doing the same thing.

$549.99 at the Sprint store. You may be able to "buy up" your contract date, which could enable you to pay less. Contact Sprint for details.

There is an Evo 3d ICS Sense 4.0 ROM out I am playing with. If you have used the ROM -- would you say that everything is pretty much the same sans hardware?
