Less woodsy. I like it. I also like the wood.

Because it doesn't have stereo speakers. The top one is the earpiece. The bottom one is the speaker.

The Moto G has stereo speakers.

And you're correct, neither is BoomSound.

I thought the top one worked as speaker and ear piece....I could have sworn I read that somewhere.

You have the white model, but could you tell me if the black model comes with the same chrome like aluminum or if the black model has an adonized coating to make it darker?

This. Seeing the white front in pics has really turned me off from this phone (might not be the case in person). I'd love to see some good pictures of a black one.

Also feel. How does it feel compared to the last year's model in hand. Specifically, does the new curvature and width actually feel better? How does the new dimple feel compared to last one - which I really like.

Could you post a screenshot of your battery stats, when you're near depletion, to give us some preliminary ideas on the life?

The curve is very much in the spirit of the 2013 design, but the overall size certainly changes things — as does the feel of the crater in the middle.

If that's not sarcasm, you're probably not fully getting the point of the X8.
The X8 is a Snapdragon S4 Pro extended with low power features for things like Active Display and always listening.
These are features the Snapdragon 800 and 801AFAIK already have built in.
