They refused, acted like this was my fault and only offered me my money back. But balls on them for telling me to go ahead and reorder a new phone from them... Like completely stupid to think that is acceptable.

Yeah, that's very bad CS. For a defective product they should have taken care of you. The phone is great so it sucks that you got a defective one :(

That's what really gets me. I love the device, but I can't keep it if it isn't functioning correctly. Why do I have to bend over backwards just to own this device?
 
I'm so bummed, this phone is sleek a'f and amazing. It's perfect but I'm so conflicted. I just bought my mom an iPhone, she won't be able to facetime me. :(
 
I do hope you are right, but as of right now, no one over there has shown me they care. Jason hasn't even acknowledged my tweets to him. Busy guy I am sure, but I will only wait so long.

I always had better results by emailing him.

I updated your other forum chain on your battery being stuck.

HTC 10 - Recovery Mode - HardReset.info
follow link to get into recovery-mode. then wipe the cache. see if that helps. if not you can do a factory reset from that same menu and see if that helps. if it works awesome if not you are only out the 10 minutes to try it.

Thank you for that information. Gave it a try, unfortunately it did not work. But a great reference site non the less.

Yes if you haven't done this already do it. After the 1.53 update I had the green HTC logo on the screen after bootup. I could go to recent apps without any problem but as soon as I went back to home page I would get the logo again. Rebooted the phone and got the same thing. Had to clear the cache partition before it would stop boing that.

well that's sad man. I really love the phone and havn't had an issues with it and I hate to hear HTC is giving you so much trouble getting a new phone. The other idea I had for you was to download the stock rom RUU from HTC and flash your phone again but it appears as though it is not on their website yet.

I think at this stage I will just wait and see if I receive a reply from Jason MacKenzie. But this phone is going back.
 
I ordered my phone on Tuesday after 1pm EST and selected 1-day shipping, so I expected it Thursday. I got it today, so here's another data point that HTC's 1 day shipping is actually 2 day shipping.
 
Jason forwarded my email to customer relations, and they are going to resolve my issue. That renews my faith in them a bit.

Hope it all works out. Not many VP's would take the time to answer emails but he has answered every email I have sent him. Like I said earlier he seems to care.

He didn't respond but he forwarded it to a VP and head of customer relations. They are taking care of me. So you were right.

I'm glad you got a resolution. If I'd been on here sooner,I would've recommended the same thing, so I'm glad someone else knew the solution. Hopefully you get a new working device, so you can enjoy what the rest of us are enjoying.
 
Anyone receive their free gift yet? I'm just curious what it is. Hoping for the hi-res headphones, but I won't be upset with the ice view case either. :)
 
So help guys, are there other apps like FaceTime? And does anybody know if you can sync an android with a macbook? for photos and junk?

I'm sure you can sync Android with a Mac, but I've never personally done it. I know it can be done though. And as for a FaceTime replacement, I use Skype. You can also video call with Facebook messenger.
