"I've ordered my Nexus 5X" (Order & Shipping Discussion)

My 5X Quartz is now in pending as well. But sadly my 6P is still preorder, blah. I want new toys

I hate long pre-order periods! I'm growing increasingly impatient. I think any more than a week from pre-order to ship is annoying. My interest isn't fading at all but some of the excitement is fading the further we get from the order date. I just want my phone already. I check everyday to see if my CC was charged.

Well, they did say at the event the devices would be shipping in late Oct so how could you not expect it? When you ordered it didn't say they would ship in a week or even two.. Lol my expectations are late Oct like they said.. My hope is a different story.. Hahha only every day? I check like 50 times a day hahha

Oh I've known all along when I'm getting it most likely. Was just hoping and getting excited that they'd possibly release it earlier than they said when I placed the order.

Does Google usually ship sooner?

Just made an order for a 5x and it says will ship on the 22nd or before and I should receive it by the 28th. Does Google generally ship earlier than the specified date? Also what dates are yours going to ship?

Im new on here, but there are threads answering your question with dates as well as everyones opinion on when google may or may be shipping. There is also a spreadsheet somewhere where people have entered in their orders as well as ship dates etc. But more than likely you will receive your phone before your actual receive by date although no one can guarantee that.

EDIT: I cant post the link but just search Nexus 5x 6p spreadsheet into google.

My 16GB Ice ordered on 10/1 still shows preordered status, estimated delivery 10/31-11/2. The Ice still shows leaving the warehouse in 2-3 weeks, while the other colors say leaving warehouse by Oct. 22.

Ordered 32gb Nexus 5x on 10/2, free shipping estimated delivery 10/28.
Ok so the initial pre-auth charge dropped off last week sometime and then my order went pending Friday. I checked my debit card online and bam... There is a... ? Pre-auth CREDIT to my account for the full price? Now understand that this actually caused my available (usable) balance to exceed what my actual balance is by hundreds of dollars. I immediately had the urge to empty my account, run, change my identity... But let's face it... I want that phone, and this would not solve my current dilemma. I have continued to monitor my account and then again today bam there is another credit to my account, this time for the amount of the Speck case I ordered. Again I see it as pending (no change in ship date) and my available account balance goes up.. So, I dunno what any off this means but I am gonna let it play out however destiny so chooses. I have a feeling since even though it is a credit it is showing as a pre-auth credit somehow and it will vanish into the abyss along with all previous pre-auths.
On a more salivating note... Mmm.. A reddit leak from a sprint worker shows an inter-company flyer/memo saying launch is 10/26 for the new nexiis on their network however they should expect calls for activation as early as 10/14. Yes I saw the flyer personally yet remain skeptical. Hope tells me that as previous rollouts have shipped a week or 2 ahead of projected estimates then we should begin seeing ship dates as soon as late next week. Factor in that review units are rumored to be shipping with the first wave of pre-orders so there is no stall period for consumers. Anyone important enough already received theirs. Trust me guys, I'm obsessed, I have delved into the far reaches of the multi-verse for any related info and my opinion is a collective evolution of statistical probabilities.. In short... I WANT IT NOW!

I've ordered a 32GB ICE from Carphonewarehouse here in the UK. I tweeted them today asking if they are still on track to ship next Monday and got the following less than helpful reply:

Apparently Google confirmed that the 5X (White/Black) will ship on October 22nd now. So I guess those of us that did Next Day are going to be getting it next Friday. That's cool with me. Just picked up a Moto X Pure to play with until then.

Ships by 10/22 is different than ships on 10/22. Some us us still expect delivery before then. Websites are just posting what they now see on the Google Store which has no impact on orders placed in the last 13-days.

I paid for Next Day and expect it to ship this week.

Doubly painful (well... triply). I've ordered the Ice which looks to leave the warehouse later than the Quartz and Carbon. I'm in the Pending state with an October 27-28 date. Of course my Project Fi SIM is October 29-Nov 2nd. So, I may actually get my phone before I get my Project Fi SIM. I'm currently using a Nexus 6 on Fi, but the Nexus 6 Fi SIM isn't compatible with the new phones. I also ordered one of Dell's new Chromebook 13 machines which was another preorder with an estimated delivery of 10/20. I'm just in "pending shipment" limbo on so many levels right now!
