It's 100% just a phone

OMG!! It's way more than just a phone!!! :) :)

I wish Google would just get off the "No Expandable Storage" boat. Offer one device in multiple colors with the ability to expand storage.... I know they make a KILLING charging an extra $50 to go to 64 and an extra $150 to go to 128... but at the same time I don't think they would have lost any sales by selling just a 32 gb model for $549.99 with expandable storage as an option.

I personally don't care either way on expandable storage. I have memory cards from back when I had my 16 GB Galaxy S3 awhile back.

But it seems like it would be so much easier on production......

Some of these comments are extremely funny, and I kind of like the light hearted approach. It's 100% just a phone and not a matter of life and death for any of us....well maybe some may think otherwise...lol

Either way I've been through every nexus launch and Apple iphone launch and I'm sorry to sound like a broken record but Google needs to get things in order so many years later. Someone gave a perfect analogy a few days back...

If your ok with getting up at 3am and ordering an iphone from Apple when the phone goes live you will 100% receive your phone quickly and long before someone who orders it days later. In the case of this nexus launch it looks like people who even ordered weeks later are getting their phones shipped out before those who ordered when the pre orders began?

This isn't a case of don't worry what the other kids are doing, and be patient, etc etc like some are saying and see my view as a case of just complaining to complain. It's a broken system that you would thing would be fixed some 6 phone releases later.

Oh well, is what it is.

Two things - #1, this is SO much better than previous Nexus launches. I'd take this any day.

#2 - you keep saying it's random and botched, but there really isn't any evidence that's the case. As many have said, it appears to be related to configurations (storage and color) and location (different distribution centers). You're frustrated that you chose a configuration that is not being shipped as early as others. The solution to your complaint would be for Google to hold everyone's device until the actual promised ship date, then you wouldn't be able to complain. Or for Google not to start pre-orders until all the devices are almost ready.

P.S. NYAH NYAH MINE SHIPPED ALREADY :-P ;)

For those who already received their Nexus 6P, can you please tell me if the phone comes with a SIM card, or, must I go to a local AT&T store to pick one up?

Thanks.

I'm surprised i haven't received tracking. My card was charged Yesterday at 12pm est and went to processing, yet still no tracking..

Because of a fraud alert on my card which I didn't know about my bank declined the charge from Google. As soon as I found out I updated everything and card was charged successfully. Been in processing ever since. Now after I call I find out that when that happens there is a 7 day hold on the order. How does this make any sense? They charged my card. Why 7 days?

I'm about to click that order button on the 32 GB Aluminum direct from Huawei. Before I do, what are the chances of a holiday discount if I order later?

That I know of, a Holiday discount is not something Google's ever done. I could be wrong. My opinion though is that since they're selling like hotcakes, probably not much chance. Sooner you buy, sooner you're guaranteed to get one. Stock is limited if available at all at the moment.

probably due to the fraud alert. wanna make sure there's no funny business going on with this order.

As of 15 minutes ago, not one size/color was available.

...no offense Robbie317...my 2¢...
...sd cards are an old outdated technology of questionable reliability and limited capabilities...sm/phone manufacturers have moved on...in just a few years they'll be like the floppy disk - laying in the bottom of a junk drawer...

Just talked to Google Hardware Sales Support.

Agent said that the 128GB models are listed as "Stock is not available/ready" so..... yep... 128GB are delayed.

Took two days from charged on my card to shipped - Thursday night to Monday late afternoon. Device is going to be delivered to me tomorrow. 64GB Aluminium, ordered at 1:26:12 PM ET on 9/29.

I got the 64GB aluminum and adopted case same day, a little earlier than you. Mine is being delivered tomorrow to NYC. Hope you get yours soon!
