My phone is 4 hours away from me and I just want to chase down the Fed Ex driver and get it myself. Also everyone complaining, when you sell those phones back please keep in mind that you can take that money saved and use it for a charitable causes. Just saying...I mean lets be honest, you've spent the equivalent of a months rent on a phone. Stop being babies and EABOD

Anyone that ordered the last batch of 32/64 Aluminium phones, with a ship date yet? As of this morning I scrubbed my 64 graphite for the 64 Aluminum, had a change of taste and also hopes of faster shipping lol.

except i plan to keep the phone for at least a year, so $45 a month isnt rent. but carry on.

Yes indeed it will. Mine just came in the mail yesterday and I brought it straight over to a Verizon store because the sims were a different size from my note 4. The whole time the kid was saying that it wasn't going to be recognized on the network and that it wasn't going to work. Well, his jaw hit the floor when it recognized the service no problem. Then he thanked me for bringing it in to let him tinker with it and proceeded to order one lmao!

My best friend just told me her 128G Frost just went from Pending to Processing and got charged on her cc.
She ordered it on 10/1 around 9pm CT via google, had the leave warehouse by 11/2 and ETA 11/5-9
poor girl has a stomach flu at the moment but still told me this good news.
We live in IL so there's a chance she'll get hers early to mid next week.

I am still waiting for my 128G Graphite to change from pending to process.
Ordered on 10/1 9:30pm via google; leave warehouse 11/5 (according to google order support it's on track), and ETA 11/10-12 :(

Has anyone seen any 128G Graphite ship yet???

Yes...my device exhibits this as well, although in reverse. Dirtier and more yellow in the center and cooler and more white at the bottom.

I expected much better from this screen. Both my Moto X Pure and my new 5X are far better, i.e., much more uniform in color temperature.

The viewing angles (as you mentioned) are also much more sensitive than my LCD screens. Perhaps AMOLED just isn't for me.

I will most likely be requesting an exchange...or perhaps just return it if the viewing angles are this sensitive.

More please! This is a serious serious concern that I think a lot of people are sleeping on. I don't care to take the reviews into account when there needs to be real world usage from real consumers to see how that screen is really holding up.

I doubt it's anywhere near as good as my S6, but that's to be expected. Amoled just scares me if its not on a Samsung phone, even with this 6p having a Samsung made Amoled screen I doubt it's their best. This brings back flashbacks to my HTC incredible and not being able to see anything when standing outside and I hate when the colors, especially the whites aren't the same throgh out the entire screen, the dirty edges or middle drive me nuts.

if mine ever gets here and it's just the way you've explained it, I will just switch to a white 5x, honestly that phone is growing on me every time I see a pic or video of it.

I also own a 5X and it is an amazing phone...the perfect size/weight and runs Marshmallow like a dream.

As far as the 6P is concerned perhaps others are more used to the limited AMOLED viewing angles as all of my other phones are LCD (MXPE, iPhone 6S, Nexus 5 and Nexus 5X). Some people may be more sensitive to color variations across the panel or perhaps I just got a bad one, but so far, as I said, I am unimpressed.

The screen has a distinct yellow zone in the center, the top I would call neutral and the bottom 1" or so is very clean, bright...leaning toward a blueish white. It looks terrible compared to my MXPE which is the most uniform and neutral screen I have ever owned.

The 5X (and the 5 for that matter) leans toward a warmer color value, but it is very uniform and easy on the eyes. The 5X also has much better outdoor visibility in direct sunlight than my 6P.

It has really dampened my enthusiasm for the 6P...

Glad I am not the only one...

I think our "obsession with perfection" can be attributed as a mental illness almost that literally ruins experiences while other people are getting maximum enjoyment out of the same situation.

NOT ONE REVIEW mentioned anything about this issue. In fact, at the AMA, google engineers assured us that this is a very high quality display.

I must say that the 6P display is superior to absolute junk that came with Moto Nexus 6. The color temp change on that one gave me headaches. Not to mention, at low brightness, black/dark colors became PURPLE. 6P is better but the temp shifting and uneven temp issue is still there.

Even the best samsung panels (on S6, S6 Edge) suffer from the same issue. I went to Best Buy and checked out all the top Samsung phones and realized they all have the same issues but a little less noticeable. The BEST screens (for color reproduction) I have even seen usually are on iPhones.

I can't say enough good things about the Nexus 5 screen - it is simply phenomenal. Although, after using Nexus 6 and now 6P for a little bit, the colors on the Nexus 5 looks dull (same as sRGB on 6P).

I think I am changing my outlook on things in real life to more enjoying than complaining. I decided to keep the 6P and I don't think a replacement 6P will fix things. Unfortunately for me, Nexus 6P gives me the best combination of "features" that are important to me. I know I will never go back to "not noticing" the flaw - my approach is going to be this: "yeah it's there, but there are bigger concerns in life".

I just don't find the 5X as attractive as the 6P, or even a Nexus 5. The thick bezel top and bottom kills it for me. Not to mention, the phone is HUGE given it only has 5.2" screen.

Ordered 32G Aluminum yesterday and just shipped. 32G Graphite ordered on 9/29 has been processing since Monday and still not shipped.

Looks like 32G AL is the only inventory they have right now.

I ordered a 32/Aluminum last night, it is in "processing" and has an expected delivery of Nov. 4-6 (if that's what that date is on the status page). When I ordered, the site said it would leave the warehouse in 1-2 business days.

Did the same. My order for the 32GB AL was just moved to shipped. Should have it by Monday. I also just canceled my order for the 64GB Graphite I placed on 9/29. I see the graphite is much easier to scratch and shows finger prints much more

Shipped minutes ago!

I initially ordered through Fi on Oct 23, but you all knew what happened on Google Play Store yesterday. So I canceled the Fi order and did it through google store.

Only bad thing is that I went through the credit check for nothing.

So I read this and its pretty silly to worry about. My phone colors and viewing angles are awesome. distortion of color is only at maybe the very furthest of viewing angles. nobody looks at their phone like this. watch any 4k video on youtube and your worries should go away. If there is an issue, send it back. My colors look amazing coming from a Nexus 5. And no, Samsung doesn't produce "junk 2k screens" and keep the cool ones for themselves. lol This horse is super dead in the 4k TV world.

Oh and the speakers were way undersold if you ask me. they are stellar! I can see Samsung and Apple adopting this quickly.

Carry on. Sorry if you're still waiting. Oh and the aluminum is slippery soft, case is a must.

Yea I was thinking of doing the same, but i wanted to try fi out and like you went through the credit check and all. Google is ridiculous already with how we all have to jump though hoops to get a phone.

Even more interestingly I called my credit card because the charge was still pending as of this afternoon and they said its on Googles end and that they haven't requested the funds? Truthfully I'm getting so aggravated I feel like just canceling the order and getting a Moto X pure and calling it a day.

It sounds like you got a good one...congrats!

Unfortunately, the uneven coloration and viewing angles on my screen are terrible. I have a Nexus 5X, a Nexus 5, an iPhone 6S and a MXPE and the 6P unit that I received is the worst of the bunch.

The color shifting that occurs on my particular unit is very evident when my hand is shifted less than a half an inch back and forth and not visible "only at the furthest of viewing angles" as you imply.

Clearly I need to request a replacement unit, but please don't assume that just because you won the screen lottery that every unit that ships out the door is perfect.

I am just providing a data point for others who may be experiencing the same issue and in no way implying that the screen on all 6Ps is somehow sub-standard.

64GB graphite ordered on Oct 4, still pending. I'm really hating google right now. I'll get over it.
