Re: Nexus 6P (or 5X) shopping times.

How are you seeing a specific ship date? Is it only when you actually confirm and order? When I go on it simply says "leaves warehouse in 3-4 weeks" for all.

Yes, the specific date range shows up on your orders page after you buy.

Re: Nexus 6P (or 5X) shopping times.

This year it seems like you can change your mind on the color or size or protection, cancel and reorder, without taking a huge hit on your delivery date.

That kind of makes me nervous. It seems almost too easy, and makes me think they don't care what you change now, because shipping is so far away, much farther away than the estimated dates.

In the past, I wouldn't have dared changing my order with Google five days later LOL!

This is all unknown and I hope everything goes well.

Re: Nexus 6P (or 5X) shopping times.

Ordered this afternoon, 10/8
32GB Aluminum
Shipping 11/5-11/9

Re: Nexus 6P (or 5X) shopping times.

Any one order from Huawei get any info. I ordered through them and it has no dates available. Hopefully I get mine sooner than later. I ordered on sept, 30 . I am hoping that they will ship before google ships .

I had same problem with the Visa. Then I used American Express and did the order. I think that is if you use a credit card that is from a bank of PR.

Last year Motorola started shopping before a lot of Google play orders! And those of us who ordered through Google ordered like 2 - 3 weeks after Google started taking orders!

Re: Nexus 6P (or 5X) shopping times.

Want to know when our phones are starting to ship? Notice that there is no "new" news coming online? That's because the tech media has their demo phones to test and are under an agreed "do not publish until date" to release their reviews.

When you see actual reviews being released, then you can be assured the phones are being shipped.

Agree?

I agree on the review part but it really doesn't matter. You have 14 days to make your own review and return for a full refund.

just cancled my Graphite 128GB 6P and switched to Alum 128 6P through ProjectFi, no change in delivery date

32GB Aluminium
Expected: November 4 - 6

Ordered Day of Launch after the links went live on the site.

Rant about Huawei:
I ordered from Google Store first and then found out that you can order from Huawei directly. So I tried doing that in order to use the money i would have used on tax to up it to 64GB. However the site kept giving me errors. I spoke with Huawei 3x over the course of 2 days, then emailed them.

Phone support (2x) and live chat (1x) kept giving me different answers, sending an email to them from the site yielded NO response.
This has got to be my worst experience ever buying from an actual site (spoiled by Amazon I guess). Thankfully I never canceled my order with Google Store and I'm glad I spent the extra money (tax) in order to be semi ensured that I won't have any problems with support going forward.

Those of you that have ordered through Huawei, all I can say is good luck with your orders and I hope all goes well. As for me, I'll spend the tax for a piece of mind.

You're quite right that some people use DEBIT/CHECK cards for these purchases. It's a very poor practice though (especially if funds are short and you can't afford to be without all of your funds for a few days). A real credit card is always the best option (especially when making large purchases), because you get better fraud protection and your funds aren't tied up if you have to dispute a charge.

As for those that don't have real credit cards, I won't speculate as to why (and I'm not saying that those that used DEBIT/CHECK card couldn't get a real credit card), but if my credit was so poor that I couldn't get or use one, I wouldn't be buying flagship smartphones for $500-600. But to each their own.
How about you just worry about when your phone ships instead of speculating on the credit worthiness of other people.

Oh and when you move out of your mom's basement you won't be able to afford new phones either.

Some people have near perfect credit and choose to not have a credit card

Go directly to the order in your google page and it should stay estimated ship date... Mine shows Nov 5-9, but maybe now some orders are 3-4 weeks.

No need to get defensive. And im pretty sure there are lots of people who can afford new phones living on their own.

So on my order is shows Preordered and has Nov 5-6, it doesn't mention "Ship Date" I think this date may be the estimated date you should have the phone? The reason I am saying that is because I initially ordered my phone with regular shipping and the date spread was a bit wider like 4 or 5 days. When I canceled the order and used next day shipping there was only a one day spread. If it was an estimated ship date that wouldn't have changed based on a faster shipping time.

I think people are just being imprecise when they refer to it as a "ship date." On the Google Store page, it just lists the date without saying whether it's a ship date or a delivery date, but on the email receipt I received, it says "Estimated Delivery Date."
