Had a chat this morning with Google Support. He didn't want to believe me.

Joseph G 8:09 AM
Hello,thank you for contacting Google!
me 8:09 AM
Hello
Joseph G 8:09 AM
How is your morning going so far?
me 8:09 AM
I have an order number for reference
It is going alright. Yourself?
Joseph G 8:10 AM
It's a busy start, I do see that you are in need of an update to your order?
me 8:10 AM
Yes, please. I'm sure you guys are busy a lot during a big launch
Joseph G 8:11 AM
That we are. It's all good though, I see you ordered a a second device as well. Awesome!
So the news with your original order.
me 8:12 AM
It was a backup in case I didn't get my original order.
Joseph G 8:12 AM
It appears to be in a sent state. I would assume that you should receive you device by sometime on Monday. I do not see any tracking information, but there could be a lot going on in the back ground to this order.
me 8:14 AM
I'm a bit upset though. I've seen multiple people that had ordered the same device, color, and size, after I had placed my order, already receive theirs yesterday or today.
That to me isn't how a preorder works, you know what I mean?
Joseph G 8:16 AM
I do think that is possible in the US, due to a device shortage. I have not seen anything that would say that is accurate information.
Different color, spec, and model all had different ship times. Quite a few had to be pulled off the stores, or delayed for shipping. Country specific of course.
me 8:18 AM
I've found it through a website forum that I'm a user on. A lot of US people, & a few in Canada, and one in Puerto Rico.
They were the 64gb Frost model, same as I had ordered, but they had ordered anywhere from 9-30-15 to 10-3-15 from the few I had come across.
Joseph G 8:19 AM
There you go a forum? Could it just be possible that people are trolling the sites? I have heard of at least 5 sites that the threads should be shut down by Google, but Google is to busy trying to get your devices out.
There were a few preordered Frost that went out not to many. There was a shortage.
me 8:20 AM
I suppose there will always be that, sure, but they are also posting screenshots of the order, along with FedEx delivery screenshots as well
This is on Android central
Joseph G 8:22 AM
So those pics could not possible be altered? Or they are getting a different model? I know. I have heard of multiple sites. You will not see any thing like that from any Google site.
I am sad that hear that people just want to help ruin another persons day hoping that they will cancel their order. So they can grab it for themselves. It is a shame.
me 8:23 AM
Anything could be altered, anywhere online. There will always be bad people, but from what I can tell these individuals are showing proof, and don't have any reason from there other posts to be trolling
Joseph G 8:25 AM
I guess you can take it with a grain of salt. Google has admitted that there was a shortage and delayed a lot of orders. I don't see the need for people to be posting the opposite, because they were lucky enough to get a device.
me 8:26 AM
I've read that there was a shortage, due to a higher demand for a certain color, storage size combo of various 6p models
Joseph G 8:26 AM
Correct, a lot of 6P's were delayed. Not a specific one.
me 8:27 AM
OK. Reasons for the delay?
Joseph G 8:29 AM
Google did not receive enough stock, that is it. The manufacture, dropped the ball and Google is taking all the blame. That is the way I view it. Yet, people want to blast Google like they are not trying to fix the problem. It is very upsetting.
me 8:30 AM
Those same people aren't saying to cancel any orders though either. I've heard that Project Fi has a different allocation of phones.
That makes sense what you are saying
Just like Motorola last year
Joseph G 8:30 AM
They do not have a different allocation, those orders are tied to the US orders.
Correct, that is why Google searched for another, but well you see how that is going.
me 8:32 AM
OK, I guess they were incorrect in the information they had received
I'm a big Google supporter, and aren't going to bad mouth them
Just is upsetting to see that others are getting the same phone I am waiting for, and their order was placed after. That is all
Joseph G 8:33 AM
All I can say is if someone was lucky enough to get a device they should not blast the information over multiple sites, making people that are waiting upset. Also know that each country has a different set of stock.
me 8:36 AM
There is a difference in bragging, and also wanting to share information though too
What I'm referring to is U.S. orders, as I know other countries are different
And don't expect my phone to ship from Italy before someone over there can get theirs
Joseph G 8:36 AM
Correct, it just difficult to understand unless you are there and seeing it upfront live. I could understand if your second order was the exact same as your first and you received that second order first.
Even Canada is different from the US even though it is the same non-world phone.
me 8:38 AM
Yep, and I totally get that too. I've chalked that up to being a different allocation for that country.
But the core is USA
Joseph G 8:40 AM
Correct, either way. Google is doing everything they can to get your device to you.
True the US has had the highest pre-orders, most countries didn't have that option. Just as well, there was never a specified date for the devices official launch date other than the pre-orders. All of this confusion will be settled soon.
I am sure you will have your device before you know it. You just might not see any progress, but your device will be delivered to you.
me 8:42 AM
Back to square one is that it is slated for delivery Monday, but no info I can reference to see that?
Joseph G 8:45 AM
That was your original expected delivery date, well the furthest estimated time frame. Within the 3 - 5 business day set for delivery.
I see your receipt show November 5 - 9 for the delivery date.
shows*
me 8:45 AM
Yep, which is cool. The upsetting part is the orders placed after mine had been delivered to some, & are delivering today, to USA orders.
Joseph G 8:46 AM
For a Frost 64?
me 8:46 AM
Correct
Some had paid for overnight shipping I get that too
Joseph G 8:47 AM
Well, I a don't know what to say that device has been delayed for over a week, from what I can tell.
The orders are supposed to go in order of preorder, not because they paid for extra shipping.
me 8:48 AM
Some were given upgraded to overnight shipping for free. Some had done the same free shipping as well
Yea,that's the biggest thing that is upsetting.
Joseph G 8:48 AM
Google has been compensating the orders yes, because they were delayed. I do not have the exact details to what they are doing though.
me 8:51 AM
I work for a US based cell company, and know how preorders go, first come first serve
I get it all the time. But I would also be upset for a guest(customer) of mine that had ordered a phone before someone else days later, and that other person got theirs first, for the exact same thing, U know?
Joseph G 8:53 AM
I do, and I feel for those as well. I just don't see how that was even possible in this case. I have been giving the bad news for over a week for certain spec'd 6P devices. Also when the 5X was shipping as well. So the shipping process from pre-orders always will be messy. I just wised the pre-orders never took place. Then it will be order from stock would be a little easier for future orders.
me 8:53 AM
I do appreciate your help BTW
Joseph G 8:54 AM
I enjoy, giving accurate information and try to ease your peace of mind. I want you to have the best information that I can see from my end.
me 8:56 AM
Preorders work as long as there is a specific structure. I prefer it to having to take every Wednesday off like last year in hopes of getting the Nexus 6
I had to do that. I would easily do a preorders any day over that. Growing pains of selling a hot product, and testing something new(ish)
Joseph G 8:56 AM
Funny you say that the store still updates on Wednesday, but at the same time. If anyone cancels that device becomes available in the store, within seconds.
me 8:58 AM
Ha! Nice
I haven't had a reason to cancel, as my name is on the list. I had to cancel one order as the billing info was wrong, that was on me
But that was just a few days ago as you can see
Joseph G 8:59 AM
I do see.
me 8:59 AM
So will I get an email with tracking info once it moves?
Joseph G 8:59 AM
It is possible, it may be just a shipping confirmation, depending on what Google is able to provide.
Just a quick question for your off topic.
me 9:00 AM
Sure
Joseph G 9:00 AM
How do you like your OnHub?
me 9:01 AM
It was a little bit problematic the first day or 2
As far as keeping devices connected.
Joseph G 9:01 AM
I would assume that. It is supposed to be 'smart'. Haha.
me 9:01 AM
But I did a few power cycles on it, and seems to work better.
Joseph G 9:02 AM
Nice, been debating for myself. Sorry to take us off topic.
me 9:02 AM
I have yet to test it much in some parts of my house where we don't really go, but the true test will be next spring in our new house
Joseph G 9:02 AM
But, Google will send you a confirmation email. When the device is ready for shipping.
me 9:05 AM
No worries! It looks so much better than any other router, no doubt
The ASUS version looks cool too, and would have probably waited for that if I knew it was coming so quickly. More of a household name. Never heard of tp link prior
Just need 4 LAN ports to make it almost perfect
Joseph G 9:05 AM
I am not entirely sure on what I will do, I am just tired of loosing my WiFi in a different room.
Well Erik was there anything else I could do to further assist you today?
me 9:06 AM
No, I think I'm good. Hope to see some movement today. Just eager. I activated a 6p at work yesterday, first one I've seen in the wild. It's sweet!
Joseph G 9:07 AM
