Google is running close to violating the FTC rules.

"The Rule requires that when you advertise merchandise, you must have a reasonable basis for stating or implying that you can ship within a certain time. If you make no shipment statement, you must have a reasonable basis for believing that you can ship within 30 days. That is why direct marketers sometimes call this the "30-day Rule."

As of today 11/5, my 9/29 preorder is past this window.

Curious what happens to Google if they do violate this 30 day rule

128GB Al order status just switched to SHIPPED. Email received (just now) with tracking number for overnight shipping. It says the device was picked up in Carol Stream, IL at 2:05 PM and will be delivered tomorrow.

(Ordered 9/29 minutes after first availability. Date has always been Nov 5-6 since order.)

Let me start off with I don't have any background so this is strictly my take on the 30 day rule... rule is not law. This was a preorder so it was made clear that inventory was not immediately available (and for the most part still within their original dates for delivery for most of the pre-orders). Cards were only temporarily charged, so no money was taken and you were given the option to cancel the order up till it turns into processing (I'm thinking 30 days begins at this point, unless otherwise disclosed).

That being said, doubtful anything will happen to google... or else google will send in their secret squad to take care of all those who oppose them. (all hail the Google.)

Praise Jeebus. Mine just went into processing.

32 GB Graphite on Fi

All hail Jeebus!
Mine went from pending to processing around 11am on Tuesday, shipped email 5:30pm, Fedex scanned in at 9:30pm. Ground shipping from Southern California to Northern California and was delivered Today (Thursday) at 1130am (which shocked me because normally fedex ground isn't in our area till the end of the day.) So... Keep your hopes up, yours should be hitting the road today.

Sigh lol still waiting for my 128gig graphite 6p... supposed to have been delivered the latest 5th November but still sat at pending. Tried google support which didn't know what was wrong. Anyone in the UK still waiting for phones which were pre ordered on the 29th September

How did you change the order's payment exactly?
Google Payments?
Then delete the default and then add the new card?

Do you live in the same city from where they are shipping phone? If ETA is 11/10/15, why are you expecting it tomorrow?
I asked because I'm in same boat. FedEx ground has ETA of 11/10/15 for delivery in Denver.

128GB Aluminum, ordered right after the announcement, just shipped. (1 week late.) Yaaay. No bump up to overnight, but supposedly I'm going to get $25 back sometime... whenever that is. No $50 Play Store credit email yet, either, but that could just be a processing thing.

Sucky part: because it got shipped now, and because it was shipped FedEx, I won't get it until Monday. Whee.

But at least it finally shipped.

Yeah, I am one of those lucky Illinois residents. I live 45 mins away from Carol Stream, IL.

Yeap Changed the default card in google payments. and I got an email from google about the card being wrong with a link to update the payment info.

Used the link to update the card information to the default card and I got a pending charge after that.
