Just came to check on this and I'm not so happy.  I ordered my 64GB graphite 6P on 9/29 morning.  Obviously, I can see that several people have ordered their phone days after me and I have a ship date of November 12th.  Decided to call Google and CSR, Greg, said he and Google are aware of phones not shipping in order.  There was nothing I could do (couldn't even cancel my order...too late in the process) and I just needed to wait, get charged, and then ship my phone back.  When I asked him why people who were ordering after me were getting the same model/color phone as what I had ordered days prior, he said there were production delays on the original allocations and those units are shipping later.  He is certain more 64GB, graphite units would ship today, however, mine will not until November 12th.  It IS possible that there could be another delay by then.  Asked about upgrade shipping and no go.  Will get free ground shipping.
I am truly shocked! I've never had this problem with any company before (even with Google - nexus 5). Do not wish to support this with my money!
