"I've ordered my Nexus 6P" (Order & Shipping Discussion)

Just came to check on this and I'm not so happy. I ordered my 64GB graphite 6P on 9/29 morning. Obviously, I can see that several people have ordered their phone days after me and I have a ship date of November 12th. Decided to call Google and CSR, Greg, said he and Google are aware of phones not shipping in order. There was nothing I could do (couldn't even cancel my order...too late in the process) and I just needed to wait, get charged, and then ship my phone back. When I asked him why people who were ordering after me were getting the same model/color phone as what I had ordered days prior, he said there were production delays on the original allocations and those units are shipping later. He is certain more 64GB, graphite units would ship today, however, mine will not until November 12th. It IS possible that there could be another delay by then. Asked about upgrade shipping and no go. Will get free ground shipping.

I am truly shocked! I've never had this problem with any company before (even with Google - nexus 5). Do not wish to support this with my money!

Yeah, it sucks. To make an analogy, it's like you make an appointment to see the doctor, show up on time, and they tell you, "Sorry buddy, it's going to be a 2hr wait". Ok, what are are you going to do right? You take a deep breath, suck it up, and start waiting; but then a bunch of people walk in off the street with no appointment and they get to cut in front of you and see the doctor right away. It's not the wait that has people pissed off, it's the fact that Google handled this in a way that just feels very unfair.

For those in the UK:

Carphone Warehouse keep pushing their delivery date back, and their support team keep saying different things. Some say 10th November, some say 13th, and one even said 30th November.

I gave up and bought it from GiffGaff who dispatched it to me within 10 hours!!!!! I ordered at 9pm and it's with me today on Friday. They sell the phone as a PAYG phone, but just pick the cheapest £5 top up and cancel the contract online as soon as it arrives. All their phones are unlocked, and the Nexus itself is already unlocked by default.

If only they had the aluminium version

Just got the delay email on my 64GB Frost.

Original arrival window: 11/5-9
New arrival window: 11/7-14

Upgraded to overnight shipping (whenever the hell that happens) and $25 refund.

And I love the fact they say this in the message: "Rest assured that orders will still be shipped in the order that they were received." Uh-huh, sure you are.

Yeah, I am one of those lucky Illinois residents. I live 45 mins away from Carol Stream, IL.

Last week mine shipped out of Carol Stream at 6pm on Tuesday and it arrived the next day at 11am. I am in eastern Missouri. And I didn't pay extra for expedited shipping. I lucked out too.

Updating my order for anyone in the same boat. I ordered in a 32 GB graphite on 10/16. My card was charged on Monday when the order moved over to processing but I still haven't received an email about the delivery or eta. Kinda strange but regardless of this .....interesting order process I'm excited to get back on android and especially a nexus!

I got my 6P not bad just two days over the eta. I am glad got the Frost. I love size of the phone and the heft. I might get skin I don't quite like the feel of the metal. I think I am too use to plastic and soft touch phones. I have the issue of bottom back panel being not seamless in one corner. I won't return the device until come out with updated version. This one be first Nexus with hardware issue they updated later on.

Still messing with rocking the screen in srgb or stock.I like the less saturated look of srgb though there seems to be grey hue to display with srgb.

I wish it would stay in the srgb mode after the phone is restarted. But it needs to be set every time.

I haven't seen anyone else "jumping the line" with this particular setup, but I'm just happy there were no delays and everything went through as projected. Would have been nice to get the surprise overnight delivery upgrade, still no complaints here.

Another day, more phones shipping, my. 9/30 frost still is no where to be found. Call to CSR last night resulted in a foreign person telling me more nonsense. I am so tired of this. My 5x return needs to happen today so I guess I won't be comparing. Seriously Google, you suck.

Wow guys, I am sorry to hear all the troubles. Just got a notice that mine is out for delivery today. I wonder how I was able to order mine on 11/2 and get it before you guys who ordered months ago. That makes no sense to me.

My order just changed to processing and my credit card has a pending charge. Hope this means it will be shipped soon. Ordered 64gb frost on 10/08. Received delay email on 11/05. Original delivery was 11/05 - 11/09. New delivery dates 11/07 - 11/14.

still at processing here, no update thats worth a damn, the charge according to my cc company isnt a pending charge, it is an actual charge, and still no shipment.

The standby time on my 6p has not been that great so far. It went from a 100 percent to 96 in 2 hours. Maybe it is because I'm connected to my smartwatch

100% to 96% in two hours and that's not great?

What exactly are you used to if thats not great? My current phone drops about 5% per hour.

If you are talking about DOZE, the phone needs to be completely still for at least a half hour to take advantage of doze, and that would still seem like pretty good numbers for doze.

I didn't even wake the screen up for those 2 hours. It was completely idle
