Doubt they actually charged it... usually it's just a pre-approval on your card to be sure it's real, then it will drop off in a few days... they don't charge it until just before it ships.

Others have said huawei charges right away. I ordered from Google so I'm just reporting everything I've read on here.

Here is my problem with the process. My receipt specifically states: "You will not be charged until your order has shipped" I was charged late Thursday. As of today it still says processing and I have no information that it shipped. Every other online retailer I have used literally does not charge until I get the confirmation of the shipping - not two days later - immediately. Otherwise I know all the arguments about first world problems. I am just asking for the seller to live up to the agreement they provided to me.

If the ordered from Google the charge will fall of within a week. Usually sooner. Then fully charge when it ships. They are living up to their agreement.

The 32 modle should be more than enough if you periodically dump the files on your computer.or upload files to like a cloud service. I went with the 64 gb model because I know that I will be taking a lot of videos. I just bought the Sony Alpha 6000, but for emergencies I have the space.

That makes perfect sense.

I've also gone relatively low on storage because I don't mind managing it (ie: deleting device copy of videos or photos if I have tons).

Sometimes, however, I come across a new use for my phone I never really applied before. This summer I was preparing for a wedding and got into Spotify, and ended up downloading a lot of music at a high quality level to keep on my device. I ended up clearing up my cardboard apps and as much other stuff as possible to make ~10G for Spotify on a 16G nexus 5. It was the first time I felt constrained by the space of my device since I got the nexus 5.

This time around, 32GB was the minimum i'd get. I was definitely tempted by the 64GB option, but I'm buying two phones so I figured I'd just get them at 32.

I could see wanting 64 or 128 if you were planning to take a lot of movies with the device. I'm not sure how good the microphones are for movie capture, but the video itself looks to be pretty decent. I think I'd do most of my movie capturing on my SLR with hotshoe mounted microphone, though it doesn't do high framerate capture (I'd have to lower the framerate to get slow motion).

My phones didn't ship yet. I expect they'll ship Monday or Tuesday and I'll get them Tuesday night when i get back into town or else Wednesday. Even if i don't get them until Friday it's not a big deal.

No, thanks for playing though. They already did the initial charge on 9/29 when I bought it. Then another one hit Thursday this week when my order went to Processing. So no, they are not living up to the agreement.

It processes and charges, and ships out in 1-2 business days. What are you upset about? Probably ships monday.

Shipping logistics causing a couple day delay. Shrug you could cancel to make a point or after next week will it really even matter?

They might cancel it, or they will reattempt the charges. Email or call cust service, and I'm sure they will be able to tell you.

Yeah, I think the same way. I only ran into a space issue with my 32 gb Nexus 5 once, but that had a quick fix; box.com and google drive for the videos. SoI really think that 32 gigs should be more than enough space for the average Joe. I do promotional runs with music artists and a lot of those times i take video with my phone. It's necessarily for audio quality, but to document the event. So, being that the 6P has shoots in 4k I wanted to have the emergency space in the event that I want to shoot in 4k?

Then there is also the issue of, do i think is worth it the $50 more? Man, i am not convinced. I am still on the fence, but because it has no SD card option, **** it! I am however convinced that 128 gigs isn't worth $100 from the 64 gigs, At least not for me. hehe

Oh! and regarding the movie video, yeah - I picked up the Sony Alpha 6000 and for the audio a Zoom H6. I just went to Texas and used them out there for the first time, the zoom is amazing!!!

yeah my email says ships within 1 - 2 business days too. I'd only be upset if they hit my card and the charge actually processed and a week went by. Then I'd have questions.

Heck Amazon fully charged me for the case back on 9/29 when I ordered and it just shipped like Tuesday and I won't have it until some time next week. Granted that was only $15 but still.... Some retailers do charge you right away and then ship whenever. Not sure the legality of it all..

I am at the point to where I am going to stop checking in on what is going on and just wait for the shipping confirmation email... I've not even had my Nexus 6 a full year yet and I am sitting here like a 5 year old waiting on Santa to show up 3 weeks ahead of Christmas.... insane.......

Go to the Google store website and click the help link at the bottom of the page.

I don't think I've ever had a smartphone for more than 12 months, it is pretty crazy when you think about it lol.

I agree. I was charged on Thursday, so if I don't get some kind of shipping notice today, I'm gonna have a bigger problem with this process. We shouldn't be charged until the phone actually ships. Not "within 1-2 business days." I don't have a problem waiting, but I'd like to wait with my money.

I haven't ether... Hell, I'm lucky to hold one past 6 months.. I don't feel its crazy if your like me and your on Verizon w/unlimited data.. I try to sale my phone before it's value drops to much. Ok, and I do love the feel of something new.

Does anyone know where can i call google support? I need to ask what happens if i dont have the money this week, because my check wll arrive on oct 30 and im 10$ short on my bank account right now.

It's been awhile since I had a smart phone more than a year... or well personal device... I get a new company iPhone every two years.. but I just forward the number to my personal phone anyway and have outlook email on my android.. they just won't let me get rid of it.

Probably Galaxy S3 was the last phone I had two years under contract? Nexus 4, 5, 6 were all roughly 11 - 12 months each plus I had a One Plus One in there for a little bit as well...

My Motorola Nexus 6 from last year is still a great device in my opinion. It's held up way better than any device I've owned before.. I wouldn't have a problem being "Stuck" with it another month if that is what was needed in waiting for the 6p... Heck even the 6.0 update I got isn't much of a massive improvement. Stand by battery life seems to be way better but outside of that it appears everything was behind the scenes...

That said..... Oh wait look.. something new and shiny.....

IF you actually read my initial post I simply stated that here was my problem. Not a rant, not a big deal. Just listing my problem with the process. They said one to two days for processing yes, BUT they also said it would not be charged until shipped. Just simply listing my issue. Never did I say I was upset, in fact I specifically stated that I am aware this is one of those "First world problems".

Freaking first world problems.... I swear......
