"First world problems"
It's been awhile since I had a smart phone more than a year... or well personal device... I get a new company iPhone every two years.. but I just forward the number to my personal phone anyway and have outlook email on my android.. they just won't let me get rid of it.
Probably Galaxy S3 was the last phone I had two years under contract? Nexus 4, 5, 6 were all roughly 11 - 12 months each plus I had a One Plus One in there for a little bit as well...
My Motorola Nexus 6 from last year is still a great device in my opinion. It's held up way better than any device I've owned before.. I wouldn't have a problem being "Stuck" with it another month if that is what was needed in waiting for the 6p... Heck even the 6.0 update I got isn't much of a massive improvement. Stand by battery life seems to be way better but outside of that it appears everything was behind the scenes...
That said..... Oh wait look.. something new and shiny.....
My first personal smartphone was a Blackberry 8330, then went to a Palm Pre (I actually sat outside a Sprint store at 4am on a Saturday morning to get one launch day), Then after about 10 months I saw the HTC EVO on the horizon and bought a used Samsung Moment to try out android for a couple months until the HTC EVO was launched, After the EVO I went on to the Nexus S, then to the Galaxy nexus, then a Samsung galaxy s4, then a first gen Moto X, then the Nexus 6.
Now new shiny will be the Nexus 6p (though I still really enjoy the Nexus 6 and could use it for months to come if it came down to it)
and I wish I had your first world problems..... I orderd on 9/29 within minutes of the link going life (64 GB Graphite) and I am only at "Pending"
What I would give to be complaining about being charged without tracking at this point.........:'(
64GB Graphite here too ordered within minutes and sitting at pending. I'm thinking this model didn't come in from China with the shipment of the others they've shipped out.
Kind of weird but it does seem that the mass majority of what has shipped is the 32 GB.... I've seen TWO 64 GB's shipped but all the others seem to be 32's.... Still just impressed I actually got to preorder right away after last years fiasco.. Hopefully they start dinging credit cards and start shipping the next batch early next week... My luck it will ship just in time to carry over the weekend into the FOLLOWING week.... Depending on where it ships from and how they ship I'd probably need it out the door by Wednesday to have it by Friday....
I was thinking the same thing. Orders placed after me seem to be getting sent (I ordered on the 2nd after changing my mind for a 6P from a 5X). 32GB Graphite W/2-day shipping. Still pending. Gonna go have a good quiet cry. What I would give to be complaining about being charged without tracking at this point.........:'(
IF you actually read my initial post I simply stated that here was my problem. Not a rant, not a big deal. Just listing my problem with the process. They said one to two days for processing yes, BUT they also said it would not be charged until shipped. Just simply listing my issue. Never did I say I was upset, in fact I specifically stated that I am aware this is one of those "First world problems".
Talk to your financial institution. It's up to them whether they accept or decline the charge. If you're still a little short, they may let it slide but charge you an overdraft fee. Talk to them first. There isn't much Google can do for you.Whats the number of goolge Cust service? i need this answered ASAP my freaking check is on friday 30 oct and Google play says that nexus 6p is leaving warehouse in november 2
I think this is the way it's done pretty much everywhere. The alternative is clearing payment when it's literally going on the truck, and that's problematic because if payment doesn't clear you have to pull the box off the pallet, open it, and restock the contents. Doing it when the label is printed allows them to cut out all those steps in the event of a payment problem; if the card is declined, the product can be charged immediately to the next person in line and sent to them instead. The warehouse I worked oh so many years ago considered product to have shipped when a label was generated for it.
I agree. I was charged on Thursday, so if I don't get some kind of shipping notice today, I'm gonna have a bigger problem with this process. We shouldn't be charged until the phone actually ships. Not "within 1-2 business days." I don't have a problem waiting, but I'd like to wait with my money.
64 Gb, Aluminum. Order minutes after it went live. Still sitting on Pending and no CC charge!
