I have the 32GB Nexus 5 and am out of space. Since you asked I have >20GB of music on the phone for 2 reasons. You can't get music from the cloud when you're on a plane. Or you can pay >$10 per plan trip for WiiFi. And, each extra 1 GB of mobile data is about $10 per month on a US carrier plan. Better to spend $50 on an extra 32GB and have your music local than to spend $10 per month and use that extra mobile data to constantly download song from Google's cloud via Play Music. So, its more cost effective to buy the extra memory on the phone once than it is to continue to pay for extra mobile bandwidth or WiFi on every plane trip.
