Oh yeah I'm sure but for me the last pure android device I owed was the Galaxy Nexus and other than battery life I thought it was great. I'm sure the newer and current nexus's will be even better.

I thought I'd wait for reviews but couldn't resist. Leaving the iPhone 6 Plus for a 32 GB graphite Nexus 6P. I've been waiting for a worthy nexus device on Verizon as I didn't like the N6 design. Only a nexus could pull me off IOS as I'm pretty imbedded. Only problem is the shipping date is November 20th but I hope that gets bumped up. Gives me time to think of an excuse for my GF as to why my texts aren't blue anymore tho ??????

as for someone who goes between android and iOS frequently, make sure you do the steps to remove your phone number from iMessage before you starting rolling with your 6p. Or your SMS/MMS will get lost in iMessage purgatory with no escape in sight.

Also make sure to do those steps on any iPads and Mac computers that you may have FaceTime and iMessage running on.

Agreed.

Also I'm highly amused that we've now forked this thread into a discussion of FTWD.

i mean, there's not anything going on with the 6ps this week, might as well talk about something besides how nothing has happened with our nexus orders!

Lol, I got the same reaction from my GF when I told her I was switching. She said, "your text won't be blue anymore?!?!".

They look really nice in the hand. I think that guy has large hands, but even the 5x looks very nice.

Ya I have some major issues with this in the past. Hoping this time it goes a lot smoother. Thanks

Same here, all my friends were upset when I switched from iphone to Android again because they said didn't want to see the green. They threatened not to text me anymore (empty threats) lol. I went from android to an iphone 5c to a galaxy S5( which I really like). I wasn't really going to upgrade for another year - BUT man, the Nexus 6p had me with it's design, and I couldn't say no! Unless apple does something really innovative, i just can't see myself going back.

is this a thing now? people care if you're using imessage or not?

i get comments about how i seem to buy a phone every month, but no one has complained about the color of my text messages...

Yes this is definitely a thing lol

Every time one of the messages I send to a friend changes to a green text message I get accused of making one of my "other devices" my main device without notice lol

I wish Google would let you change the credit card that you used to pay for the pre-order with.
I just got a replacement 'chip' card for my 'non-chip' card from my credit card company.
If I activate this new card, then the card that I used to place the preorder will be deactivated which would mean that when Google charges my card when they finally ship out the phone, it would cause my payment to bounce which would cancel my order after all this waiting.
I contacted Google to see if my concern was valid. She couldn't answer for certain. But, she said that there is a possibility that my order might get canceled.
The only solution I can think of now is to not activate my new card until the phone is shipped out, which based on the customer service rep, is scheduled for Nov 5.

I presume a lot of people in the US would have the same issue, with a lot of Credit Card companies rushing to make the shift to 'Chip' Cards.

Actually, as a side note, Netflix reported today that this 'chip' card transition caused a lot of automatic payments to fail causing a drop in Netflix subscription.

If I'm not mistaken, they may still deactivate your original card even if you haven't activated your new one. Not positive, but I thought I read that somewhere when my first chipped card got to me.

That is what has me concerned. The ship date, Nov 5 is a whole three weeks out. Hopefully, they will ship it earlier.
