I'm pretty much in the exact same situation (including dates) except I ordered the 32 GB Graphite. I also did free shipping.

Excited to get mine today!

the wait is almost over :D fedex usually comes around 10am, hoping they stick to their schedule (same time for the past 2 years....just my luck they come at 5PM today)

Please do yourself a favor and read the last 48 hrs or so of this thread. This argument has been made a ridiculous amount of times.

There are some explanations on how this happens but at the end of the day don't worry about what the other kids on the playground get to do and just worry about you and your order.

How is the idea of FIFO filling for a single model from the same warehouse a ridiculous argument, and an unrealistic expectation? Once a phone comes from the back of the warehouse to the front, they have to decide whose phone it is. If it's an Aluminium 64 GB phone, and you have 100,000 of these orders to fill, why not fill the earliest order first? Once they run out all that kind of phone, everyone who ordered later will be waiting. Surely they have a master list of orders they have allotted to each warehouse, and they are checking off the orders one by one.

I am beyond angry that orders of 64 GB Aluminium model placed days after mine, and quoted a delivery date a week after mine have been processed, shipped, and are getting there, yet mine is stuck in pending hell. Google CSR is telling me they are all out of stock. Well idiots, if you knew you were running out, why not process the early orders before the later ones. Damn.

Yup, I am in the same exact boat. Ordered mine ASAP when the site page became available on 9/29. Poopy

32gb alum is processing.
Ordered night 10/22.
Processing happened some time yesterday.

No charge to credit card yet.

Wanted graphite, flip flopped on 32/64 for so long that they all sold out. Figured, I'll never touch 32gb and I also never look at the back of the phone.

Added bonus if it ships so quickly, as it has for others.

My main concern as I understand the shipping ect. Is that I ordered thru Huawei had it funded thru their program with a first payment due nov. 21st and I won't have my product till about a week or two before first payment. It would have made more sense to push billing to 30 days after shipment date imho.

So... IF you walked into a restaurant and ordered your meal before the dinner rush or right at the start of it and while you were sitting waiting other parties came in and ordered, after awhile you see those other parties getting their meals you wouldn't be concerned? What if as you are voicing your concern to others at your table a person from another table comes over and tells that you are just being ridiculous and just worry about your own order while they walk out fed and happy.

Here is another analogy... What if you ordered a certain meal item and the waiter told you it would take 30 mins... meanwhile others are ordering the SAME meal after you and then they get their meals quickly.... you ask the waiter and his answer is... well I did tell you 30 mins and it has been just 20....

Sorry but delay in stock is one thing, but shipping a certain stock out of order to some is another.

Yes! Mine shipped from Carol Stream, IL, as of this morning is out for delivery! Can't wait!

There's not 1 line in 1 location making 1 model of phone and delivering to 1 location. They also don't make the phones and then decide where they go. When you make an order the tracking starts then and you are assigned to a plant and at the mercy of that location and any problems they have.

I know we all wish it was just a simple FIFO but that's not how it works and Google is not the only one.

Mine has just been delivered! Hang tight guys, it's 100% worth the wait. Man this phone is sexy.

My order changed to processing Monday afternoon and my charge was hit with another hold. Card still hasn't completely charged only showing a hold. No tracking # either.
Ordered a 9/29 12:51ct 32gb graphite.

The restaurant analogy has already been shot down as well. In a restaurant all the meals are made in 1 kitchen and delivered to 1 place. There's no tracking system and the patrons are not glued to a forum comparing themselves constantly.

Manufacturing and logistics just doesn't work anything like a restaurant, sorry, just not how it works.

Does your tracking information show any progress? I'm getting delivery to NJ, supposedly tomorrow, but the only entry on the tracking page is "Shipment Info Sent to FedEx" yesterday at 6:42 PM.

Yes! Mine shipped from Carol Stream, IL; as of this morning is out for delivery!

My charge is still pending on my bank account as well, hasn't gone to a finalised charge in 48 hours. I wonder if there is something going on with the 32GB Graphite running out of supply this batch. That's like four of us, ordered early on launch day, sitting in processing for two days. They're chucking Aluminum models out the door faster than you can count... makes you wonder if we'll get an email about a delay soon.

Im sorry but I tend to agree with this. If I, who ordered a Frost 64gb 6p, were to throw a fit because you are all getting your phones before me then it would be completely out of line, as NO Frost phones have been shipped yet. However, if I ordered a 32gb Aluminum and I was still stuck in pending I would be a little concerned too, if I had ordered at the front of the line, but concerned is where my line would be drawn.

The only thing I want to tell you, the man I quoted above, is dont take the google CS rep at his word. He probably doesnt know for sure that the stock in the warehouse it out. He may likely be looking at it as not being in stock on the google store website, and not at what is in the warehouse ready to ship for pre-orders. Basically, unless you get a notification saying you are going to get delayed from your original ship date, try not to fret over it too much. It SUCKS and I would be irritated right there with you, but its not worth throwing a huge fit over until it is definitely delayed.

I think processing is supposed to only happen when you're phone is ready to ship.

I'm hoping the graphite plant has a broken door on the loading dock and once they get that squared away they'll open the flood gates.

I can't complain because we're still early but when I saw the charge on my card I had my fingers crossed for an end of week delivery before I leave town.
