i just played with the Jambox at Best Buy. easily and quickly paired it up with my EVO 4G via Bluetooth and i have to say i was disappointed. the sound volume and quality over Bluetooth was poor. volume was very low and quality had a slight humming sound at higher levels. i was standing right in front of the jambox so distance was not an issue. i've heard that volume and quality get better if you connect devices directly via aux cord (obviously) - but then what's the point? also i played "free" Pandora to test. perhaps if i played mp3s instead - the quality would have been better and volume would have been louder. IMO no way is this worth $200. i would MAYBE buy it for $50. the device is cool because it's very small - literally about the size of a red brick. lastly - this was a display unit so i'm not sure if it was gimped or not - but i don't think so.

i just tried the Jambox again and was again disappointed. my niece bought the device and this time we streamed Pandora with her iPhone 4 via Bluetooth. volume max was poor and sound quality at higher levels was also poor. then we tried it with the direct connect aux cable. a little better but still poor. my little $10 Sony FM transistor radio is louder with clearer sound. i advised her to return the Jambox. i really wanted to like this thing but i just can't.

I've been shopping for these lately as well, the Jambox had been the leader in the clubhouse until the bluetooth Bose Soundlink was released.... but that is too expensive. I am holding out hope that someone gets that for me as a gift ;)

Anyway, in the mean time, I ordered a Monster Clarity HD for $60 and change. I have not received it yet, but for the price I am sure I will find a use for it, even if it is only as a speakerphone for my home office. I'll be sure to check back in once I have tested it out.

The concept is neat, i'd love to find a slick way to play decent music wirelessly.
