So I noticed that I couldn't use wifi tether apps after installing Bugless Beast 14 July, however, I can turn on wireless tethering in the normal settings and it works just fine. Is this a way for VZW to charge me on data outside of a plan, or is this a root feature? (Never bothered to check settings when rooted or not, so I'm not sure if this worked/s on stock) Thanks, and I'm hoping this isn't a pathetic question...

Most (if not all) custom ROMs have stripped out any hooks Verizon may have had to detect tethering in the phone's firmware. For most people, there's no need to worry about it and you don't need to use a 3rd party app to circumvent tethering charges.

For more specific answers I refer you to ask in the specific ROM thread. For future questions about the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, I suggest you post in the Verizon Galaxy Nexus Forums. You'll get more traffic and people knowledgeable with Verizon in that area. This "Google Galaxy Nexus" area is supposed to be designated to the GSM model.
