Jelly bean update

I didn't remember to download alogcat before it started downloading. I did install while the update was already started. Would the URL still be in there?

I think it should be there as long as you have not restarted.

Ahh, it did reboot. But I'm sure if I received it in the forgotten city of Detroit it'll be hitting everyone else phones soon if they haven't already.

Edit: I'm from Michigan.

Enjoy your Jelly Bean everyone... I've been running Jelly Bean built from AOSP source, helped my friend AC Dev jstntp building his ROM and other custom ROMs for gosh a good month or two now and its awesome stuff...

My opinion it really makes the NS4G and its now outdated hardware really shine ;)

I tried to install jellybean via fastboot and it isnt working for me (the commands that I put in are not recognized). I checked if the ota was pushed to my phone and it isn't (I have a custom recovery if that matters) so......I guess Im just gonna wait for someone to post a flashable zip for clockworkmod

Detroit is not forgotten, just a little Jewel hidden while it restructures.

Can you tell I was born and raised I Detroit??? LOL.

Now in Texas waiting for this dang update.

Just wanted to post what I did in case it will help others...my update is downloading right now.

I was trying the "clear Android framework" trick (Settings --> Apps --> ....scroll the header to the right of "Running" so "All" shows & select "All" --> Google Services Framework --> Clear Data) over & over and it wasn't working. I tried clearing that & going right to check the update, tried clearing it and rebooting my phone, but no luck. Then I turned off Wi-Fi. I really didn't think that would work and it may just be a coincidence, but as soon as I turned off Wi-Fi, cleared the framework, and checked for the update, it started downloading and I turned on Wi-Fi again to make the download quicker.

Could just be a coincidence but I wanted to share in case it helped other impatient folks like myself. :)

Edit: I also plugged my phone in (being at 40% or so) after a few failed attempts, so it was plugged in on my successful try, as well. No idea if that's a factor, but wanted to note it!

Seems like coincidence. Tried that here in NYC and no luck or any change - "check now" just updates to present date/time and doesn't lead to an OTA JB update at the moment.

But I'm excited that the OTA update finally seems to be coming.....

Bummer...thought I might be on to something there; sorry if I got your hopes up! Overall, I probably tried the "clear framework"/check update combo about 10 times total before the update showed for me. I'd read other folks having to do it multiple times before it worked, so that must have been it more than the Wi-Fi being off and going through Sprint's towers...or just a total timing coincidence.

I also didn't have my phone plugged in initially and then I plugged it in about halfway through trying; no idea if that's a factor at all or not. Sorry if I got your hopes up at all; just trying to be helpful! :)
