Hey everyone! I just bought my very first phone plan from Etisilat. They gave me 500 local minutes and 6GB of data. I'm sure i'll never use the monthly 500 minutes,,but i Know its easily possible to go over the 6 GB of monthy data. Is there a way i can divide the 6gb over 30 days and limit the amount i use, so i don't go over this self imposed daily limit, The extra charges,,i'm sure could be scary!
Has anyone done this? Thank you

I use an app called My Data Manager. Basically you enter the info it needs about your data plan (how many GBs, when does it reset, etc). It will automatically calculate how much data you can use for a day, and give you warning notifications when you go over the daily allotment. If you use only a little for a particular day it recomputes your daily allowance for the additional data you have.

As for the hard cap, in the settings of your device you can place a hard cap where the phone will block data usage if it reaches a certain amount used.

Use WiFi when at home and use the data for when your out and about where there isn't WiFi. I only get 5gb p/m and I seem to manage just fine without any apps.

charging pads are convenient for keeping your battery charging when around the house or office. Keeps from wearing out the micro USB port from constant insertion of a cable and it's so easy to just place the phone down on a pad. We have 4 of them around the house for 2 S7's and might buy another one. For long plane flights we have a Jackery Bar.

Thanks for the advice. How/where in the S7 Settings is the ability to hard cap my data use?? Thank you

go to Settings > Data Usage > and you have to toggle Mobile Data on if it isn't already, and directly under that there should be two more options you can toggle on/off, Limit mobile data usage and Alert me about data usage. When you toggle both options on, there will be 2 seperate lines in the graph above that you can adjust. The black one is for the data alert warning, the red is for the data limit
