Just Got 4.4.4 Via Kies, Verizon

Yes but could they not have done this before now (or actual release date?) There's not alot that i can tell has been added. Certainly not 6 months of testing worth. Don't get me wrong, I don't care about having tons of features, but the signal and battery life could/should have been already fixed.

Oh I'll be the first to always agree with you on that for sure!! This update is something that should have been pushed in September for a previous "flagship". Verizon is so so so slow with the Note 3 updates, it's crazy this is the first update of any kind, not even a minor minor bug fixes with a few security enhancements, in over 6 months! They claim they test so rigorously but it seems it just to add bloatware they want and then they sit on it until they feel they've made enough money by others purchasing newer phones and then finally release it after the last of the other 3 major carriers have pushed it out. It should have been pushed at least a month ago and it should be pushed now, it's a pretty solid build.

Not here (Or). Called Verizon and Samsung and like normal, neither show an update ava for the Note3. What? How? It's stupid and immature the way they handle these updates, like it;s national security!

I actually talked with them both a few weeks back and the Samsung rep said it was ava and I just had to go to BestBuy to have it pushed. She swore to me it was ava and got upset with me when I kept questioning her(because BestBuy isn't going to be the only one who would have it if it was officially released). So I put her on hold and called BestBuy who said she's full of it-back on with her and she said they're wrong.....Verizon said nothing was even released to them regarding 4.4.4, then I asked how that was because they had it for S5. Both are full of reps who have no clue about their companies and those who do know are sworn to silence. Again, not national security here.

Anyway, not showing on Kies for me and I don't want to flash it because I don't want phone to reset even though some have said it hasn't, I just can't take the chance.

I already used kies to get 4.4.4 but I still get the stupid box popping up

Is there a way to know what update the box is doing?

I do find it strange that people here have said that verizon/samsung told them the kid's mode app is not available yet. I don't know why it would vary at all from the tmo version. I don't need it on my phone but I did install it just to see what it was like so I know it's downloadable and installable.

I was told by a Samsung rep that it's not on this update completely there's the widget but idk can't remember exactly what they said but it has something to do with Samsungs end of the deal..

Oh, I wasn't saying I didn't believe you. I was saying I don't know why this particular app would be any different between the carriers. The kids mode app is available to download for TMO, international, Sprint Note 3. I don't know why they are telling you the app itself isn't available yet. They must be giving you a different app than the rest of us but that doesn't really make sense. I'll be curious if you have some Verizon app in kids mode.

I just went ahead and installed it again on my TMO Note 3 just to make sure the app download hadn't been pulled for everyone. Had no problem downloading it and installing:

It's only in widget form so far it seems. When you drag it to the home screen and click on it, it acts like it's going to install and then says it can't connect to the server and to try again later. Hopefully they enable this soon!

Ya you wouldn't think who carries the phone would matter a Note 3 is a Note 3 can't be to much of a difference between carriers but of course Big Red is the red headed step child of cell providers so.. I'm hoping I don't get their ota update I couldn't find on any info on any forums on weather or not if you update with Odin if you'll get the ota..I really hate bloatware and I'm to new to the whole flashing stuff to start Rooting yet..

Funny, just got notice from VZW for update right now. (Post from couple hr's ago where rep's told me not ava).

Can we side load T-Mo version of kids mode? Or is there any difference?

Just tried Verizon upgrade assistant and nothing, then Kies and nothing, then checked for an OTA and BEHOLD....... TADA... downloading now. So. Cal

I really see nothing different really. But when wifi is on the 4G goes away and not just gray.
