I am seriously considering this phone. My only reason for delay is the locked boot loader.

I would go on and go with the vivid. The locked bootloader shouldnt be much of an issue because the phone is almost flawless as is. This is coming from someone who used to change roms every week on my droid x.

I gotta agree. I've got no beef at all with the stock HTC setup. My data speeds vary, but I'm on wifi at home, and the connection at work will do, most of the time. I loaded SpeedTest today. My wifi ranged from 10.39Mbps to 15.28Mbps down, and always over 5 up. HSPA varied by time of day. At 3PM, I was dead slow at 1.35 down and 0.76 up, but at 8PM, I was running 5.33 down and 1.64 up.

Loving the vivid. It's great. No complaints. In always on LTE since um in san Antonio and getting ridiculously fast speeds.
