Just got the 4.4.2 update

I am on Sprint and had my N5 since 11/17 and was staying to get pretty annoyed that 4.4.1 had been out about a week with out getting it. Then I got an article notification on my Google now that mentioned 4.4.2. The link lists all the little features and fixes.

After reading the link a couple hours ago I checked for my update and 4.4.2 is there!!! I was so happy but now so anxious to get it installed. I am stick at work for a few more hours. One thing is for sure I am so glad they fixed the volume, haptic feedback, camera shutter, and voice mail notifications. Those were the biggest and most annoying bugs for me. So I am really excited to get home and update! :-D

Gwaron, you were exactly right - thanks! So the 'bug' I was blaming on 4.4.2 had nothing to do with the update; just me being careless. Thanks for the pointer!

Voicemail notifications still not fixed on sprint.

Anyone know what bugs the 4.4.1 update contained that required an immediate second update in less than a week? Haven't found any specific references to any specific problem.

sideloaded 4.4.2 from 4.4 and the transition from unlocking to home screen has gone way faster & as a British would say, it's a buttery smooth! :D

The exchange sync issue seems to be resolved with 4.4.2 on my N7, how about the N5?

I believe Sprint said there was a bug that caused some to have problems on their network or caused problems with their network. While there are other fixes that might have been serious enough for them to quickly push this out.

I noticed from both 4.4.1 and 4.4.2 updates with my camera I would encounter this green tint issue which would only happen in the dark. Anyone else have the same issues with there Nexus 5 running 4.4.1 or 4.4.2? Below is the screenshot of what I'm talking about.

That's odd. Go to System Settings > Apps > Camera and clear data then clear cache. See if that helps.

Thanks srkmagnus! I just tested my camera out in the dark like how I did before to make this happen and it's running fine now. I'll try it again later tonight and see if it happens again.

No problem. Hopefully the issue is fixed and doesn't return :)

They look blurry in the first shot to. You should have taken the pic from the same distance as the first one

Got 4.4.2 for my N5 (4.4.1 was bypassed) now installing in Vancouver BC
Will the same update for 2012 N7?

Thanks !

I'm currently on 4.4 build KRT16M. Do I need to progressively update to to 4.4.2 or can I jump straight to 4.4.2 KOT49H? Thanks.

Yes, 4.4.2 is being pushed out to all current Nexus devices. Including the 2012 Nexus 7.

If you wait for the OTA, then it will update straight to 4.4.2. Otherwise, you can progressively update to 4.4.2 or install the 4.4.2 Factory Image, which is a little more involved than sideloading the updates. I'd suggest sideloading 4.4.1 then 4.4.2 if you can.

Sorry about the duplicated replies. My connection dropped was not sure if it went through.
