Just got the my H815!

1. How do I check to make sure the boot loader is unlocked / unlockable?

2. Also I guess I need to update it, the GUI looks different then my VS986 when I had it. The build version is: 5.1 - LMY47D. Guess I need to update?

3. What's the best way to root this now? I know there are many tutorials but not sure which to go with. I guess I need to unlock it first or it should be already?

4. My white adapter to charge the phone isn't for an outlet, it plugs into this grey adapter which plugs into the outlet, and I guess that's fine if it charges the way it should. But the phone always turns on when I try and charge it, I can't charge it being off with this charging system. I guess I need to buy the actually white outlet adapter to charge it off?

I would spend some serious time over on the LG G4 forum at XDA reading up on root and boatloader unlock.

I don't spend too much time reading about other models of the phone but if I remember right the boatloader is unlockable on that model officially from LG. Its the only one officially supported. The T-Mobile one ships unlocked.
