Just held the HTC one in the store

Getting back to the subject of this thread, I just stopped by my local AT&T store and played with the One. It's a lot nicer than I thought and the videos don't do it justice. The look and feel is better than any phone I've had and better than the Iphone 5 IMO.

The phone is really fast and snappy and operates really smooth. I didn't notice any lag. HTC has really improved Sense and I like what little I saw of it. This phone should sell very well if more people find out about it. I don't care if the S4 is coming out later, this phone will give it a run for it's money bigtime. I can't wait to get it and do a review. The main thing I want to tell people is just get this phone in your hands for yourself and try it out.

I thought you were trolling the forum after reading your first post. Now I believe you are being sincere. So I won't be sarcastic this time.

Your judgment is just bad. Nearly every serious reviewer says this phone is the best phone available, that the hardware and design are incredible, and after playing with several... Nothing is comparable.

Based on your opinion of this phone, I would love to meet you at St. Peter's Cathedral in Vatican City and hear your thoughts on the Sistine Chapel and the Last Judgment.

Please show one credible review that chooses the One over the S4.

Some have said they would definitely sign a 2 year contract with the HTC one and that it's the best phone they have ever used. I think I read one that states that they thought the HTC one will be the best new phone off the second quarter.
As far as a official I like the one better in order to review they need the finished product.
Do you have a link to a bad review of the one? It's odd all the reviewers I read about or saw on YouTube all have the highest of praise

Can't get past no SD card and the built in battery! Just can't do it.

just got back from ATT store to play with the One a 2nd time. Man, this device is so damn sexy and quite simply pure eye candy! I honestly cant find something I don't like. this device ticks all the boxes for me:

* build quality
* smooth UI
* universal inbox
* stunning display (better than retina)
* perfect screen size (not too big)
* fast & comfortable keyboard (quick typers will love this keyboard)
* camera (zoe's)
* blink feed (i often use my device for twitter/news)
* android!

only thing I need now is for this device to make it's way in some form to Verizon. :)

It's a really nice phone. I'm biased but the reviewers are right IMO. For me it's all about the experience and the HTC One is on another level. HTC really went out their way to make this phone appealing. The look with the combination of the way they've done Sense really makes me like this phone.

I was about to go play with it again too.. (at the camelback store mind you) I played with it for a good 20-30 minutes at an ATT store by my house and it just didnt cut it for me i need to use it again! Except i dont want to go back to the same store because the people will think im weird if theyve already seen me use it..

Sure, both PhoneArena and GSMArena rate the S4 higher. What have you got?

I'm not with Verizon but after playing with this phone I hope it makes it's way there also. Everyone should have a chance to get this phone. I don't think I will go back and will try to wait patiently for mine. I even like the look Blinkfeed, and I didn't think I would have.

I'm glad I ordered the 64GB Dev version now. That was one of the things I was disappointed about with the One X, only 16GB of storage. I don't mind phone manufactors not having expandable storage as long as they provide plently of on board storage.

nice! i hear ya on that. i actually saw the same guy there that helped me last time, but i was able to avoid eye contact so he didnt think i was a freak, lol. some other sales woman came right over, "can i help you find something"...me...."um no, just checking out some phones".....as she goes on and on how she wants to help me, i'm thinking to myself....listen chick, i just want to check out the One, now leave me be! lol.

So, at the Camelback store avoid the One in the front of the store and go to the back of the store. They have 3 devices all working and ready to play with. When I was back there, nobody bothered me, so it was great! Have fun! I miss her already, lol.

My point is that htc did not try to take any steps to comply with Google's policy. That is what you'll hear from fanbois or what I call, marketing BS.
What htc did do is what it wanted, to goto a two button layout with a giant htc logo plastered in the middle. As a result, you get the black bar.
Your point isn't valid. You are invalidating it in your own posts. You keep trying to mix topics and arguments to prove your point and I think you've gone and confused yourself.

agreed! the more carriers the better. this device is a real game changer and i have a feeling all OEMs are taking notice. and agreed, i don't need the expandable storage either. the fact that HTC is offering this device w/ a minimum of 32GB is great! 16GB needs to go away, and 32GB should be the new standard for minimum storage on device.

Yeah there was only one display model at the store i went to! So i want to avoid having to 'wait in line" to use the phone hahaha! but i do want to go back and dive a little deeper into it but i always feel bad saying "oh im on sprint i pre ordered the phone but you guys have a display so im just coming here to play with it" oh well only a few days left! Hoping it makes its way to the verizon users out there!

Please show one credible review that chooses the One over the S4.

Anandtech. How about you show one review that picks the S4 over the One or the year old iPhone 5.

Oh yeah, and enjoy your crapoled S4 display, I wonder what color white will be on that phone, green or blue?

No one credible would choose the s4 over the one or the one over the s4. The s4 isn't even out in reviewers hands yet.

I'm sure there will be many reviewers going both ways on this one. I can't see anyone thinking this is a slam dunk either way.
