I finally updated. Yay ...

So, I haven't had a chance yet to check everything, but the one thing I did notice that is different is when I tap on my open apps, I don't see a way to close them individually. It's close all or nothing.

Also, I have already discovered that I cannot chose dark mode if I am using a theme.

And even though I don't think the pull down quick app icons look as professional, I personally like them larger because I can see them better.

P.S. If anyone is apprehensive about doing the sideload, don't be. The instructions provided in the Verizon Pie update thread are complete, thank you guys, and it is super easy to do.

Recently used apps just flick them up individually

You have also full gestures instead of buttons .

Nigh mode is it's own theme Dark theme through uI and Samsung native apps

That is so cool to just flick them away. Soooo much better than tapping on the x, missing it most of the time and having the app back full screen.

What do you mean by full gestures?

About the dark theme, first of all, I very much like that there is a setting right in the settings for wallpapers and themes. Soooo much easier than long pressing to get to themes. But where would I find the dark theme? When I go to display, Night mode is grayed out.

Thanks for all the help!

Notification panel pull it down swipe left should see a toggle night mode turn it on and make sure Dolby Atmos is enable for better sound.

Full gestures is like swipe instead of buttons that's in settings then display also at very botton u can click help hints off just have to Remember where to swipe for home, back, recents

I am noticing as well, and I think I read something regarding this in another thread, that the themes are not entirely compatible with the update. For instance, I use themes, I have a lot of them, but the phone app no longer displays the theme. It's plain white dial pad.

Yeah if you go to the Samsung theme store and click on a theme you ain't got yet it will have a notice below the pics of theme saying before you buy and talks about how not all developers or theme have been updated. Sorry dont remember word from word. I go thru this every time. Eventually the ones I own but don't show up eventually show up after they are updated. Sucks cause I'm sure I'll won't be able to use some of my favs but ah what can you do but wait or buy more lol

I will have to play around with these things later this afternoon. I am not able, though, to figure out how to get the theme off my phone to try the night mode. The only current option I see anymore is to reapply the theme. I can change a theme but nothing else. I can delete a theme that is not applied. The reviews and all other information is gone. I just get a message that says, "The service is not available. Try again later."

Samsung ... Can you do anything right!?

I have not tried the night mode yet, but now that I am an expert, lol, I am going to sideload the Pie update on my friend's Note 8 later this week.

Darn it ...

I saw this:

And thought it was available.

This is why I am not the expert!!

I need to run a couple of quick errands. I will call my friend after I get back and get the last four of the build number.
