To be fair, with so many devices on android in different shapes, (it's not like subtle changes to a bb or iphone) it will be hard for seidio to keep up with QC and availability.....
Hello,
Thank you for your questions and we would love to help! Regardless of where you purchased your case, you are still covered under our warranty. If you have an issue with your case, please feel free to PM us and we will be more happy to see what we can do for you!
For the Rugged Case Combo, all of the Innocase II Surface will feature the revised case so order away!
Regards,
Well, let's just say I am one unhappy camper. I just got my replacement Rose Pink case and popped it on my phone to see how it was as my wifes is with her and she is out at the moment. It's tighter, barely, and still has some play to it and still creaks as well. Instead of it sounding like a loose floorboard now it sounds like a deep croak/ribbit from a frog.
What I am saddened by the most is at how hard this one was to take off. I did it just as the instructions stated and just as I have with mine and it would not come off. I literally felt like either the phone or the case was going to break in the process. I finally got it off and thankfully there is no damage to either the phone or the case. The inside was not more rubberized like others have stated, just more felt lining went above the camera cut out. I am sad to report I will be returning both cases I bought for a refund. The purpose of a Hard Case like this is to protect the phone from breaking if dropped, but if you break it while trying to take it off doesn't that kind of defeat it's purpose?
Yeah my replacement came like 30 minutes ago. The inside was not rubberized at all as stated by the reps. The only difference is that there was an extra piece of felt that went above the camera cut out as stated in my previous post.
As Seidios inbox is full here I just called the Customer Service line. The lady I spoke to was really nice, but was dumb founded when I told her the inside wasn't rubberized as stated it would be. She offered to ship me another, but to be honest I have had enough. Three junk cases was the limit for me so I kindly asked for her to send me the pre-paid shipping label so I could return them all and get my money back.
I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for and at $30 a pop plus S&H this wasn't the case this time. I will upload an image of what the new "fixed" cases look like in a minute so you can see.
Anyone have any recommendations for other cases Hard or Silicon?
Anyone have any recommendations for other cases Hard or Silicon?
I have the black one which is more rubberized inside. It sounds like they might not of fixed the colored versions as they did the black one. Did anyone else with other colors, other than the black newer version of the Seidio Innocase II, get the new fix with same felt as old but the plastic was instead rubberized?
Here are some pics. As you can see there is more felt, but the inside plastic was not coated with rubber like they stated all fixed ones were.
I was doing some thinking after my last post fraz and even though Seidio stated that all cases even those sold on Amazon are the newer version I have a feeling they weren't being completely honest. Doesn't Amazon buy them direct from Seidio for a discount and then sell them? I cannot see Seidio or Amazon for that matter taking such a huge hit by replacing the old ones with new ones.
Either Amazon had to eat the cost on the bad ones and get new ones or Seidio had to eat the cost on the bad ones and ship them new ones. And even if either of those scenarios hold true, how do you know for sure Seidio mass produced enough to replace the bad ones and rush shipped them to Amazon to sell in time to you or anyone else for that matter? Or what's to stop Amazon from still selling the junk ones?
Bottom line is, don't be too surprised or upset if the one you have waiting at home is a defective case.
Well not even 24 Hours with the BLUE Innocase from Amazon and the top portion, above the volume buttons already is starting to wiggle and "squeak" a little bit.
What a huge disappointment as I was told on these forums that the color cases via amazon would be the new style and revised case.
I will contact amazon later today and also write a review regarding these cases on amazon later to warn the others out there about the color cases on amazon.
It sounds like Amazon and Seidio aren't on the same page. I think Seidio, themselves have fixed all of the ones they sell on their site, but Amazon might be responsible for fixing the cases they bought from Seidio, for those who ordered on Amazon's site. If I had ordered from Amazon, I would return that one and then order from Seidio directly. It really looks like it is being handled different with Amazon and Seidio, and I mean separately. You can also call Seidio first, before you order and ask them how the case you are ordering has been fixed, more felt, rubberized, etc.
I took some pics...with my Evo no less....
If you need a higher resolution version, let me know.
I have been speaking with Jack Yang, marketing coordinator for Seidio, and the Innocase Surface II now has a rubberized lining. This is a confirmed change that is permanent to all further Innocase II production. If you have a prior case without rubberized lining I suggest you get in contact with Seidio and get an exchange. I was suppose to get the new rubberized lining in my 2nd replacement, but their shipping department failed to ship the new version last week. Jack Yang asked me to pass this information forward to all of you and hopes for your continued support of Seidio. I am very impressed with their choice to listen to us customers and make this change. I hard plastic shell with a more rubberized liner is far superior to plastic on plastic. Good job Seidio and time for some new reviews of the Innocase II!
