Keep root while updating?

Hello everyone. I received the ota 4.3 update, and I am currently rooted and unlocked but running stock 4.2.2. How do I update while maintaining root access, I am relatively new to all of this. Any help is appreciated.

Usually you would use ota rootkeeper but 4.3 has a new security model which breaks all the old rooting stuff. You will have to manually re-root following the update.

Nah .. I will remain unlocked.

The other thing I have heard is that if you are using supersu, you should unroot prior to applying the update or you may have problems.
