[Kernel mod] enable USB fast charging(now in the jawz101 kernel!

From the sound of it bob has a lot going on right now and he really builds his roms to cater himself so if he would not use it he probably wouldn't put it in his kernel.

Ive installed the v1.3 widget.
1: when toast pops up saying to unplug then replug USB cable with fast charge ON, the computer does not detect the device
when OFF -unplug/replug it does.
2: I can toggle FC on/off without unplugging, but how do I know its working?
I saw no speed improvement. Went from about 80 percent to100 in a about an hour or so.
what is the problem or what am I doing wrong?

In the OP there's a battery monitor apk you can view the effect from. When it's working right the pc won't detect it when fast charge is enabled.

Because of the nature of the Windows Drivers USB-Mass-Storage well not work, it does however work with Unix/Linux System.

Ok thx for the clarification..I was hoping to use this WHILE moving things & whatnot on the PCwhile phone is plugged in.
this has no effect with a wall charger does it?
Will keep it for now tho

It acts like the Pass-Through that is built into most HTC phones when connected to USB, so it does not effect normal A/C Wall-Charging. Either later today or tomorrow morning OH-Mandylion well have it built-into the framework of the ROM, so there well be no need for the Widget app.

,just flashed the CAI kernel over bobzcm9.1 latest and it seems that all is well lol. the fastcharge widget works as well, thanks!

Edit: broke phone.apk and for the life of me could not get back

The option to disable/enable USB-FastCharge is now a pull-down-notification power widget in OM_Mandylion, replacing Enzomatrx FastChargeWidget.apk with built-in system function.

Awesome! I know the widgets/pull-downs will support it, but I'm still a HydroRom'er. This was only written cuz that rom is kinda dead and needed something

So happy, finally got it to work by flashing the kernel on page four and the toggle on the bottom of page four. Now if only the kernel wasnt an OS one, my home and menu key are reversed
