I was using Swiftkey X Beta the last week or so. It was working great. Today the HTC keyboard came back after a reset. It won't go away.

In have reset in the past with no issues. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Swiftkey. I have tried reseting the keyboard settings to default. I have tried installing Keyboard From Android 2.3 from the market. No third party keyboard will work.

Any suggestions?:'(

I had a similar issue with better keyboard. For some reason my stock keyboard kept coming back even though I put BK as my default. What worked for me was... After I selected BK in the settings, I immediately opened the keyboard and saw the proper keyboard. Immediately after that, I hit the home tab so that the keyboard can remain on the screen despite the screen change. I flipped it horizontally and in portrait just to make sure it was right in both directions. At this point, it seemed to "take." Never had a problem since.

How did you get the keyboard to open without starting an email, etc?
