Keyboards... Samsung or GBoard or other?

Yeah I have that but it's not like the samsung keyboard. When you pull out the spen while typing samsung will change to writing mode. You can do it with that you just have to change the keyboard to google handwriting after pulling out the spen.

BlackBerry keyboard works good for me. I can't seem to pull myself away from it either.

Years ago when i had the Note 3, i installed Swiftkey and it slowed my device to a crawl, that's why i haven't installed it this time.
Has anyone noticed an issue with Swiftkey ?
I currently use Samsung keyboard but i still make a lote of typos.

My favorite keyboard is Gboard, i use it across every mobile device. Love how clean it looks, well done with swipe and talk to, amazing synchro between everything logged. Nice adds like built-in translator, clipboard, auto recognize currently input language
Words hints are amazing and predicted phrases work as it designed for
Best for me and the only one i really like using
My typo is horrible without Gboard, this keyboard made me lazy

I haven't had any issues with slowdowns on any devices from SwiftKey for over a year now.

I have installed the SwiftKey, no issues at all!

I've stuck with the Samsung Keyboard since day 1 but I think I will go back with SwiftKey also that I used the 3 years on my 8 and before that.

One irritating glitch with the Samsung is when it picks what it think is word your typing but it's one of those one-offs where you have to change it, when you back up and change and go forward it wants to keep changing it back and you have to back up and do it a few times before it finally changes. The spell correction is just a bit behind the SwiftKey.

I just came from an S10+ and was constantly switching between keyboards (Swiftkey, Google and Samsung). They all were picking up other keys and not replacing words properly. So darn annoying!I'm using Samsung kb right now with my new N20U and so far so good!!

Microsoft Swiftkey instead of having to manually shift you hold the key a little longer to get to the symbol .
Also the keys are a little bigger than some of the others so it means less mistakes.

I couldn't agree with you more, on both counts!

ok i need some help with chosing the correct keyboard software to use on my Samsung. i know everyone has their own choice but i have been using the default samsung keyboard ever since, ut i can seriously considering using gboard, so some questions

between samsung keyboard, gboard, swiftkey and chrooma which is considered the best all round.

is it normal i get a warning that gboard can collect data that i ttyee including credit card info etc? (bcuz i do get that when i go to select gboard, is it jus bcuz its a 3rd party app)

does anyone use chrooma keyboard??

which one does learning the best, i find samsung keyboard even using it for 4 months now cant seem to predict my words like on my previous phone (which was a samsung tho)

how good is swiftkey???

jus dont get why i would h to use another company keyboard on my samsung. i like to keep things native but oh well. so plz, @ me so i can see the replies, i need to change my keyboard.

(i jus made d switch to google messages, soooo i might be ready for gboard as well)

I used Gboard for quite a while on my Note 8 and never got that warning. Then, when I went to install it on my Note 9, suddenly, there was the warning??? That scared me, so I've been using the Samsung keyboard ever since... and even now on my 20 Ultra. I've gotten used to and am happy with it!

Sent from my SM-N986U using AC Forums mobile app

I use all 3 keyboard, Samsung doesn't back up data anymore, Google pretty good at predictions and can use the Spen for writing, swiftkey backs up your data and more customization and pretty good all around . Yeah I do see those warnings in the beginning , don't worry about that just turn off the toggle for any feedback u can give to make them better in settings.

Gboard has been much more accurate than Swiftkey for me for swiping. I do like the themes better on Swiftkey, but accuracy is more important

Samsung keyboard is just not good... I'm using SwiftKey.. Of all the ones I use most consistent

Another vote for SwiftKey. I think it was better before MS took over, but it's still my preferred keyboard.
