Kool-Aid--2.1--new leak!!!

I figured it out, it was HANDCENT SMS causing some sort of conflict. I took it off this morning and have not had a reboot since!!

I'm having an issue with the browser I could be on say espn and i'll leave the browser come back and it goes back to my homepage...but it flashes something first before it does it. Any help would be appreciated.

Also which version of apps 2 sd is on this leak? Just curious because I had 2.5 and everything went to the SD and I have less memory than what I had with option3

I use the old version,i don't mess with that 2.5.You should have more internal memory on these then option3.Before installing apps.

Oh most definitely I do, I was just curious about the version, thanks.

Do you know what's up with the browser?

I figured out what I saw with the browser. Say I power up the phone and go to any website, then I browse to a few more sites and then leave the browser altogether to do other stuff on the phone. When I go back to the browser it will flash the notification that your mobile settings are off really fast and go back to the first page you started on, not necessarily the home page. Hopefully this helps explain the issue better

Apparently if I go to a task killer (I use it just to monitor), any application or anything, it somehow resets the browser when I go back to the internet and flashes that notification

Does anyone use Clockwork or other Rom Managers to flash Kool-Aid, or is everyone doing it manually from recovery mode?

tts

Text to speech in American English is not working for me, it works in other language just fine.
I have wiped and re-flashed 2 times. Anyone else having this problem?

Audio

So, if I had the same problem with the last leak... chances are, I'm still gonna have that issue with this leak? (not that it can't be fixed with the patch from xda, just more or less curious :p)

When I first went to opt 4, the audio cut out randomly almost every time I started. After about a week it magically fixed itself. It cuts out...but very very rarely. Sometimes I think it's primarily if something else needs to use the audio, ie. playing a game while listening to tunes, etc.

But like I said, it's very rare now. That's just my experience, don't know if it helps.

Im checking it out,ill let you know if i figure it out.

Beezy, you are the shiznit. Just an FYI. You're too modest btw.

Which one of these ROMS are you running? Seems the sugar-free makes the most sense for speed and stability?

And can anyone explain very simply exactly what the dalvik thing is all about? I've read tutorials.

Applicably, I'm trying to figure out my best strategy for swapping from opt 4 to Kool-Aid (great name btw).

Sounds like I nand backup, wipe, do...something...with the dalvik? Then flash the ROM?

I added an ext part to my SDcard on the last run, but haven't really figured out if App2SD is working.

where can I get a transparent calendar and bookmark widgets? or how can I turn my current HTC calendar and bookmark widgets transparent? THank you for the information.

Thanks, you got it right nand backup, wipe(data, dalvik, ext)in recovery, then flash kool-aid.To tell if app2sd is working type
adb remount
adb shell
cd /data/app/
pwd
if it returns system
system/sd/app,your good.

Thanks for adding that info,i got a little rest,im testing something to see.

I always do mine manually, one of these days i might use them.

Ive never tried to use it,but now im going to see what happens to me.

Thanks, yeah ive only had audio loss once and i rebooted hasn't ever happen since then.

There appears to be some kind of scripting error in the boot scripts of apps2sd in Kool-aid.

running "a2sd check" in adb shell crapped out with a bunch of error messages.

so I flashed the new 2.7 release 1 of apps2sd, and ran ap2sd check. There was a problem with the dalvik cache, which a2sd repair fixed. My memory usage dropped from 43mb to 21mb of 159mb after the update and fix.

Might want to look into this beezy

I run the old apps2sd I WON"T use the new a2sd that is going around.

From the wiki for hero
adb remount
adb shell
ls -l /system/sd/app
if it returns /system/sd/app/
or names of apps then its working.

I've noticed you've mentioned this in other threads.

any reason?

it appears the dalvik cache is not being relocated properly in kool-aid.

try "a2sd check" in adb shell on your old one and see what it says.

Because it moves dalvik to sdcard and thats not my cup of tea.
