Just flashed Sugar-free!! ok, i know ive seen a post somewhere pertaining to live wallpapers? Can i get them on the hero? i know its not "supposed" to have it officially but just curious. also, whats the "side effects" of live wallpaper on a hero vs another android phone?

Good/bad news, your right i have a thread up that gives you livewallpaper.Only thing is for now you would have to flash a different rom until i get time to tweak them to work on this one. Side effects can be a little laggy,but it usually runs pretty smooth,it best to choose a normal wallpaper if you have to reboot.

Nope it refers to the custom memory management like was in gumbo1.5.If that doesn't help any let me know.

Yeap just edit the gumbo.sh file in system/init.d with notepad++ and push it back,then reboot.I just put low/high so people had the choice and didn't have to edit it.

I flashed this when it first was posted. It's worked great but recently I've noticed ill lose data. After I toggle off/on network data it works again. Amy fix for this?

I too get the occasion lost of data not sure what it is.But i thought it has something to do with sprint.

That would happen to me on my 1.5 stock. It was very weird, and I would have to restart the phone or mess with settings just to get it going. Ever since I started using custom roms it went away though.

If its back I'd say it has something to do with the official rom. Probably on Sprints side.

yea i just a reset on my device by going to ##786# i think it went away not sure i'll know when that network error pops up.

Sorry if this has been covered before...

I'm running option 2 from the last leak. What would be the advantages to switch to this one? I don't feel like resyncing my contacts and apps and email settings!

What about known bugs with this ROM?

If you don't want to resync your apps and e-mail settings, then don't flash this ROM. You must wipe the phone before flashing this one. The advantage is it runs much faster and is based off of the latest (Official) release, with some things added and removed.

I could do it, just lazy to reflash and resync, unless the new ROM is really better. Could you be specific as to the differences?

Well, the official has problems (some serious not letting the phone to go to sleep in some cases). You are running a ROM based on Sprint's memory free settings, these run faster cause they force the phone to have more free memory for Sense to do its thing better (less keyboard lag, faster opening). My biggest pet peeve was fixed (double tap menu to unlock without menu popping up afterwards). Having said all of this, I'm running a ROM based on what you have now. I was running an overclocked ROM based on this leak and I liked it. A setting got stuck though (not the leaks fault, it was the ROM) and I had to nandroid backup and never felt like flashing it back. So, not a whole lot of benefits superficially.
The removed item is the app that could be causing the problem with the awake time issue. GSD.apk (which may or may not be on your ROM as well) is notorious with causing poor battery life.

I downloaded and flashed and it does not move pass the boot screen that says NOW. I wipe it several times and installed it several time

It will sit on NOW screen for like 5 min Try this on computer open command prompt enter adb logcat press enter
If it start reading out a whole bunch of stuff its still loading.
