Yeah. He made it real easy. Gotta love the guy (Koush) specially since his primary phone is an N1. As far as the Launcher2 goes, you could always donate a dollar to ruqqq and get the copy now.

Installed Koush's 1.02 today and it's running very smoothly. it has SOME of the ESE53 goodness, but it's not a total ESE53 ROM as far as I can tell. Google is really pushing out the 2.1 updates... anyone know what's special about the ESE54B that's rolling out to Nexi soon?

i installed Ruqqq's launcher2 (launcher2 0.5, from the XDA forums) but when I launch it the screen just flashes and it never launches...help?

I tried to enable auto-brightness in Spare Parts like someone suggested, I'm still not sure its working. Any advice?

You added the launcher to Koushs rom? ! If so did you delete the original? You have to delete the one that comes with the rom before installing.

Did you follow the instructions correctly?
You need to remove the launcher2 that came with the ROM originally or else you may get errors (Personal experience here lol)

Turn your brightness all the way down, enable auto brightness and go outside. If it adjusts and you are able to see the screen (better than before), well then, it works.

i crossed my fingers, i can't connect to do the adb...so i just uninstalled my launcher2 then threw this guy on. crossed my fingers...didn't work i guess.

it works with koush's rom delete the 2.1 launcher and install the other one that's what I did with the previous version

With DM..Umm it should techincally work, unless you already had the launcher2 installed. If you did, then I suggest removing it and then installing ruqqq's
Haven't tried it with DM so I'm not 100% sure.
Recommend moving to Koush's ROM though, its a lot better...TONS!

Let me clarify this a bit. The launcher only works with Koushes rom as it is a true 2.1 built from source. DM is 2.0.1 with 2.1 bits but the framework is missing stuff that this launcher needs. It will also not work with ERE25,29 or ESE53 as there are watered down versions of 2.1. None of those, even the official that will roll out are complete 2.1's
So all in all only Koushs rom is a true 2.1
It is the only Rom that will let you run the launcher correctly.

*True there are other launchers that might have been hacked to work with the 2.0.1 and watered down versions of 2.1. This is not one of those. This is stricktly for a full 2.1 Rom (with the complete 2.1 framework)

Koush's ROM it is. It's well worth it too, the ROM is just so smooth and stable. Screw the OTA update coming out

koush it is...and i just got settled...grrrr - i'm guessing it's over on alldroid? i like that's it's a 2.1 rom and crankin!

oh, and thanks for the help guys! so...what happens if i don't wipe data when migrating roms? i've always been curious

You get bootloops or a bad experience if your going between roms from different peoplewith my experiences wiping data and cache is a good idea

What do you guys use to backup and restore apps? I have astro and just downloaded Titanium Backup and that can do all apps/data ..

Do you guys that change ROM's like underwear just install a few choice apps or what?

I think I'm going to load up Koush's ROM .. but I want to wipe everything and do this right.

Best one I've found so far is My Backup Pro. Has a 30 day trial and $5 to buy. For me well worth it. Will back up apps, data, settings, and pretty much anything.

That's a good app me I only backup my SMS other than that I just use the market to get my apparently back sometimes I'm on a rom for such a short time I don't restore at all

ugh I need help using adb, I have it installed and working(I think). I just don't know how to unistall the launcher then install the new one. I don't want to mess around too much in fear of breaking my phone, so help would be awesome... Im on vista and have sdk located on root of c: along with launcher2 in root of c:, I think I just need help with the cmd prompt wordage.
