i guess he just put them back up the lowest setting is now 250 going to flash the 1200 in a min or so and report back with how they work

just saw on droid fourms their seems to be kernels with higher clock speeds that are compatible with koushs rom

I might just wait a day to see how everyone's feedback is then if positive I'll give it a try.

ya but the only problem is that setcpu only monitors the battery. the cpu is not monitored by that and since i have started using temp monitor i have noticed that the battery and the cpu can be at different temperatures. for example the battery will be at 30 degrees celcius while the cpu will be at 37-38 degrees. its not all of the time like that but it does happen and thats why i would recommend watching the CPU as well.

at what temperature would you guys say i should be concerned about if the CPU gets to. i dont mean the worst temp but the aprox. point where i should start being concerned? if it is over 40 then i might get rid of temp monitor but if it is like 37-38 then idk what to do

43 and under is good.
You can set your failsafe on set cpu to >39. So if it ever hits 40 (battery) or over it will drop to 600 instead of your 1000. Allowing your cpu to cool down some.
That way you will not have to keep an eye on it.

If you have Rom Manger Premium. You can now download roms.
5.0.4.3 is out. Well he hasn't anounced it but it's on the list of downloadable roms in Rom Manager.

i definitely think that is a good method. i have that currently set on my droid and it does work but the only problem with this that i can see is that the CPU and the battery can measure at different temperatures. i am not sure how closely they are linked but i have seen them have a difference of approx. 5 degrees. it could be more.

but an update: ever since i used a static wallpaper my speed has been steady. battery life im not sure about but i will def keep you guys updated on that. i do like using live wallpapers and still wish i could but being able to slide screens and open apps without any lag is a major convenience that i do not think i can sacrifice.

Do you have a change log for 5.0.4.3?

Already downloaded .3 just waiting to flash it. The kernel is cool no lagg at all it but temp monitor doesn't work
during the time running it hasn't run hot. no usb tether still have to install wireless tether edit wireless tether works
edit 5.04,3 doesn't appear to be any different just a test build for those with the donate version of rom manager
edit have jit enabled and running the custom kernel this thing is fast dont know how stable its going to be

What is app2sd exactly? Is that a way to download and run apps on the sd card? If so then I'm really looking forward to see what this can enable for us

yeah i see the options for a2sd but i cant enable it looks like ill be waiting another week for that speed boost
its a program that pushes apps from your system to your sdcard to speed up your phone and free up memory. this will be great. he will have the first droid rom with this enabled

Haha so he will do what everybody has wanted which is something Google wont do. Right now I'm stoked haha

Unless you have a class 6 card, app2sd is going to hurt performance more than help.

Just something to chew on.

This rom seems pretty stable, where does it show jit is enabled? Also, I had to install 3 times before I figured out how to get the market app, gmail, and some other stock apps installed. The first install apps2sd showed up, but the next installs its not there anymore, any ideas why not? I know its not functional yet, I'm just curious why its not showing up now.

EDIT: OK, I figured out why apps2sd wasn't showing, I flashed a theme and apparently it removed it because I restored my 5.0.4.3 backup I made b4 I flashed the theme and the option for apps2sd is back. (The theme was the nextheme listed on koush's site) still need to know how I find out if jit is enabled.
