Latest update changes lock screen

Updated two days ago. Still JB 4.1.2, but the update changed the lock screen behavior. The Samsung rippling water effect is now just a lock and swiping moves the lock to the outer ring to unlock. Any idea(s) why this changed and if I can restore the water effect. Thanks.

I have the same problem I updated my samsung s3 mini to 4.1.2 and lost the ripple effect. It is no longer an option in my lock screen settings it is beyond a joke!!
