No dropped calls, but i've only had it a short while.
But...I do have static/feedback issues. Problem is I just don't see as good an option with any other verizon phone right now.
M1AHD...is the Incredible known to be better in this regard?
Or should I be looking at a different emergency back-up choice guys?

It might be good to restate exactly what your trying to accomplish..

I'm going to assume you want to change a Dock App:

long press the dock icon you want to change, select "Change Shortcut".. then either one of the shortcuts listed, or select Applications to select an app;
after selecting the app you should be prompted to select which icon you want to see, either the default one for that app, or one of the launcher pro icons, or custom.. once you select the icon, your done.

if this isn't what you're trying to accomplish, please explain better.

That is exactly what I wanted to do. When I changed the message app for the camera app and pressed the camera app the window came up asking if I wanted to create a new message, it was like the camera app came over without it's program and the message app left it's program. Hope this makes sense.

Yes, the Incredible has slightly better reception. That said it has its downsides too, like shorter battery life.
