You may have LP set as your default. Go to Home Switcher and change the default if you want to use the stock launcher.

It doesn't matter. It will go to LP, anyway. A known problem with LP and X.

LPP is GREAT!!.. the free ver. is nice and i could have just lived with that, as i use the default contacts icons widget for my home screen as well as the calender. Although i might have to start using the LPP ones.. I really love the scrollable contacts widget and the calender.. I bought the PLUS ver. just to support the DEV. $2.99 is well worth it to support such a great app (Launcher). Big ups to LPP!! Cant wait to see what else they can do to it..
EDIT::: Oh and a side note to the people that say "well i can re-size widgets free with the stock launcher on the X" Well yes & NO.. You can re-size most of the widgets with the stock launcher but NOT ALL.. WITH LPP YOU CAN RESIZE ALL WIDGETS!!!! Just FYI to the people that don't know that..

That's exactly why I bought it, but you can't resize widgets yet, at least I don't have that option for that. Am I missing something?

you just longpress on a widget (so it "picks up") and then drop it back without moving it, a resizing box will appear around it.

Hi, I am very new to DX and recently DL LP+ and purch the LP icons as well. I successfully put a "favorite" shortcut on my home screen. But, for the live of me, can't figure out how to add my actual favorites to the icon? I open the shortcut and it prompts me to add or delete another email, facebook, etc account. Is what I am trying to do possible? If so, can someone plz point me in right direction? Thank U

Only one drawback to the fantastic LPP that I discovered ...

The Beautiful Live (animated) Weather app that works with Beautiful Widget's Beautiful Home Weather WON'T activate on unlock with LPP. It only works on stock UI, so far as I can tell, and I really like the animation - lightning, clouds, rain on the inside of the home screen, etc. Cool!

I know it's a no-brainer choice - animated weather vs. LPP. But for the time being, I've opted for the weather. When it gets old, likely will go back to LPP. Too bad there's a conflict, though. Would be terrific to have them work together! Have mentioned this in the LPP forum.

I do not know why yours wont work, it works fine on mine... try going to Settings > Applications > Manage Application > App Name > Clear Data and then set app up again, I had a few apps that wouldnt run but after I did this ir ran flawlessly.

Wonder of Wonders! I re-installed LP+, populated it from my backup, did a battery pull and ANIMATED WEATHER WORKS!

I had earlier uninstalled & re-installed Beautiful Widgets and Beautiful Live Weather (animated). That fixed the problem on the stock UI. Guess it also fixed the issue with LP+.

However, Wildman, I'm keeping your advice on a post-it by my computer for future reference on balky apps. Thank you again!

I like Launcher Pro's speed
but I like the AOSP experience available in ADW.

i just purchased LPP, its amazing!
however, does anyone know how to re arrange icons in the drawer?.... i cant figure this out, when i push the menu button to bring up edit, nothing happends.

Drawer icons are alphabetical in native UI and LPP. No choice.

I can re arrange in native by holding the menu button while in the drawer untill edit pops up....then you can pickup and movie icons to whereever you want....however with lpp you cannot

THAT'S a well-kept secret!!! Thanks for sharing ... haven't heard it before now. Didn't even think to check the menu when the drawer was open.

BTW, by using folders on the home screen, you can go through your app drawer, long press each app and drag/drop it into a folder of choice. I have 7 custom folders, all on one of my home screens: Tools, Sports, Fun, Shopping, Travel, Office, and Misc.

To get a folder on the home screen, long press a blank spot. Folders is the 4th option under "Add to Home Screen". Then open the folder, long press on title and put in your own label. I went through the entire app drawer (which is, of course, still there) as above and keep all my apps sorted via folders.

This is a MUCH faster way to sort your app shortcut icons than going through the widget screens to "shortcuts."
