[Exclusive] Gingerbread Build 2.11.605.5 For The HTC Thunderbolt, Fixes Several Issues From Official Gingerbread OTA

Thunderbolt owners have been waiting a long while to get Gingerbread -- too long, considering this phone was once Verizon's flagship. We've seen several leaked builds come around, all of which experienced a variety of problems. The most recent leak seemed to be the most stable so far, but it was still chock-full of annoying little bugs.
Fortunately, we've gotten a hold of a newer build (2.11.605.5) that fixes a lot of the issues from the 605.3 build, so HTC is clearly heading in the right direction.
Here's a summed up version of what's new in this build:
HTC Logger removed
Voicemail notification fixed
Front facing camera/Gtalk fixed
MMS/SMS Fixes
Weather syncing fixes
...and more

i'm running BamfForever 1.7 & i still have a sideways ffc on g-talk/hangout..so..hopefully BAMF will release an update (incorporating this software) to fix it. as for everything else--they're ahead of the game.

love BAMF, but hate that bug (across any ROM i've installed) unless i missed an update along the way

edit: i am corrected! 1.8 fixed the inverted FFC! awesome

Totally agree... BAMF Forever 1.0.8 is fantastic and what the Thunderbolt ROM should be.

Bamf is awesome but doesn't fix all problems. I have constant data drops with any GB based ROM I use...must be a flaw of GB in general. Data is fine if I run froyo.

I hope this latest GB release will fix that. If so ill wait for Bamf to release a build based on this.

Rooted with bamf 1.0.7 do I need to try and install this new 2.11.605.5 or just wait for bamf to come out with a new rom?

OK has anyone noticed again that the listed MD5 doesn't match the file? The last build released did not match either..

I've always used the Multiupload links to download these RUU's and the MD5 has always matched.

Has anyone heard any new info on whether this may be the same as the official OTA? I'm thinking this may be it as it's been almost a month now since the original GB release. Wouldn't think they'd wait more than a month to get the fixed GB out or that there is time before the month's end for another build to be in the works. I'm really tempted to pull the trigger on this latest leak!

FYI. Looks like 605.5 will be the official fixed GB OTA. Verizon's Thunderbolt Support page now says 605.5 and lists updated features.

No new radios (since 605.3). Boo! But, maybe the OS will still address that. I'm reasonably happy with the radios now, but I always want better <--Greedy!

There is actually a bamf forever 1.0.9 its a small patch about 8mb. You have to have 1.0.8 flashed already though for the patch to work.
