Leak Gingerbread-July 30

What is "Enchanced aGPS functionality"? When you photoshop, you should at least spell 'Enhanced' right.

Enchanced GPS is what we have now - an enchanced that the TB GPS will sometimes work.

Enhanced aGPS is what ALL other phones have - functional and accurate GPS.

It will be nice to finally have enhanced aGPS functionality on my Thunderbolt.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Google Talk is not called gTalk. In fact, Google doesn't even own the gTalk trademark. If Verizon marketed Google Talk with video as gTalk, they're gonna be in some serious legal hot water.

So the screenshot is either fabricated, or the Verizon marketing team messed up big time, should this be legitimate.

Edit: Does it bother anyone else that Amazon App Store would be bundled with a GB release....

And this: "Enhanced Microsoft Exchange Extentions"

Did VZW outsource their marketing, or have most people been had by a poorly thought out fake? Hrmmmmmm

Yes, it does bother me. More bloatware is not what this phone needs.

It sucks that this is fake....I would love 2.3.4 on my TBolt....I haven't rooted hoping I would be rewarded and get this...if not, I might have to take the CM7 route when it gets a more stable GPS.

This is trolling... no way Verizon is going to have so many typos, even in a draft version.

Besides, does anybody REALLY think we're going to have Gingerbread by the end of June?

Why is getting GB before the end of June seems to hard to believe? Hasn't HTC been sending updates (through carriers) for several models already to GB? I hope the update is real (even if it happens in July or August). :)

Oh, I think we'll get GB by the end of August alright. Maybe sooner. What bothers me most is the misspelling of "enhanced" and "extensions". Really, no professional would create a PDF like this.

So is this 100% fake? I really hope not but if u guys say its PhotoShopped and all those little clues are in it then that is really sorry of someone to do. Screw them, I hope whoever faked this knows I only wish the worse to them.

Sometimes, even the best make mistakes, even though the typos are laughable (come on, "enchanced"?). However, it does make one take the images with a grain of salt. If this is some joke, it isn't funny.

Im not putting all my hope on these pics. Although i will say, They could have just been made and not proofread. Meaning someone made the photo, took a pic before they actually proofread and sent the the pic to verizon.

I am sitting next to a Verizon employee who says this is fake. The logo placement is not correct or a few other things.

What difference does it make? Real, fake it is going to come when Verizon is satisfied that it is ready for release and all the posts in the world aren't going to change the date. This forum represents less than 2% of the Thunderbolt user base. While Verizon and HTC pay some modicum of attention to the early adopters and hobbyists that populate these pages they are much more interested in the 500,000+ everyday end users that don't sit around stressing and drooling over a phone. If they can make and receive calls, text, do email and surf the net these people are happy. They don't know from root, probably don't use the device enough to complain about battery life and if they are re-booting probably don't even notice it. Just for kicks I walked around three crowded Starbucks last week and told people i was doing market research on cell phones. While most still had feature phones, 100% of the smartphone owners had either an iPhone, EVO3g or Thunderbolt. Not one of them had ever heard of Android Central. The average age was 39 and the gender split about 55-45 female. These are the people Verizon cares about. They are Family Plan, FIOS TV and Internet users and that's where the bucks are.

I wish I could "like" this.

What is the hoopla over this gingerbread software update? What will it do for my phone?

Sorry for the naive question

Well for one, there are certain security "enchancements" that are needed present in 2.3.4.....he he, did you see that? I made a funny. :p

Really VZW would not have typos? What about this?:

I saw it one time back in November when i was about to sign into my account. I think this is worse than a typo. (And no i did not photoshop it). Never thought i would look for this on my facebook page since i no longer have my old laptop. The BlackBerry they are referring to is the Curve 3G and not the 8330. Thought i would share.
