How long it take u to wipe cache, mines taking forever.

It doesn't take that long at all, it's the data/factory reset that takes a few minutes.

Now I am stuck at the Samsung logo after I tried to restore one of my backups... I don't want to lose all of my stuff!! Ahhh

I cant boot into download mode, i have the latest update and when i hold the volume down key and power nothing happens.

change USB ports
pull out the batter and leave it out,,,if its now working try it with the battery in

if its more then a min or two i would pull the battery and just try again to boot up the phone

Well i'm not sure what to do now.

I am on DI01, I am told I need to get DL09 before applying this DL30 build.
I cannot get DL09 OTA because of an error so I was told to use Odin to update to DL09.
I'm trying Odin but I never get the connection. It never recognizes my Phone. Even when I simply plug the phone into the PC it doesn't recognize it. It use to before trying to install the DL09 OTA.
When I click on USB settings to load Mass Storage I get "The application Media sync (process com.samsung.mtp) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
I di download and install the drivers, running Windows 7 64 bit.

Anyone have any ideas for me?

Make sure your USB cable is disconnected. also take out the battery, put it back in and at the same time press the volume up/down buttons AND the power button.

Kk, I get force close loop, tried wiping cache and it just didnt do anything, go stuck on it, I just tried wipe data and im still in force close, flash back to stock and re-try?

had to wipe cache and go back to DL09 Stock before flashing, Flash complete, root is there, not able to download titanium backup to restore old apps, any ideas?

BTW old market is installed, already checked to allow 3rd party apps to be installed, sucks being a newb

make sure you are using the cable that came with your phone. pull battery, leave out the whole time.

I tried all of this, when I do this it goes to Android system recovery <2e>, i dont see that yellow download screen

could you please explain what you mean by changing the USB ports?

The wire you are using from phone to the computer is a USB cable, it plugs into a USB port. Usually newer computers come with at least 3 to 4 ports, 2 on the front, 2 on the back.... odin is very sensative about power so you want to plug the USB cord into the USB port closest to the mother board of the computer. Using the USB ports in the back of the computer are usually best as they connect straight to the motherboard.

You need to be in download mode for ODIN to recognize your phone.
Power down phone pull battery out(Battery stays out)
Plug in USB cable attached to your computer then hold down volume button for 3 seconds and you should see Yellow Construction Android guy now ODIN should recognize your phone and away you go!!

I am not sure then sir. That was my hangup when I first tried. Other posts are showing that maybe a different USB port should be utilized. Hope it works out for ya in the end. Good Luck!!

you're pretty much stuck until they get the market issues straight.
