Did not come from a stock feel, but I am finding Car mode is not working. It is still trying to default to Bing and VZNavigator which are not appearent in my Froyo....might be because of how i flashed but can anyone confirm?

You'll need A usb cable to get the files on your sd card. From there, everything is done in CWM Recovery.

When VZ officially releases it there will be a md5 version posted either here or xda that you can flash via Odin.

Phone and app settings don't appear to be saving. If I reboot, everything is back to stock. Going to start from scratch again.

My apps save, but the settings for them aren't. I only have TiBu and root explorer installed right now, but if I reboot, my preferences for them are reset, along with the phones sound, display, and home screen settings.

Just installed the new Google Car Home that would not work before. Works great now. Allows you to edit what is on the pages. Much better then the stock one.

It's a zip file so install with CWM Recovery.

It used to be in the market. I know it was hard to find. I think Google pulled it. If you do a search for Google Car Home you will find ways to still get it. If you do not find it send me a private message and I can email it to you.

Is it possible to download it directly on my Fascinate from the browser and flash it through CWM that way?

Answered my own question. It is possible.

I work at a nuclear power plant, therefore I am not allowed to install drivers on my computer. I downloaded DL_30 and the CWM directly from the browser on my phone, booted into recovery, flashed the new CWM, cleared data and cache twice, and installed DL_30 directly from the new CWM. Worked flawlessly so far. Before this I was rooted on Super Clean DL09.

I already rooted using the method that does not use clockwork recovery. I have downloaded clockwork recovery and the leaked rom. Can i install it now or do I still need to do the ODIN stuff on my computer. Sorry if I sound like a newb, cuz I am!

yes i downloaded the official DL09 then just did the simple root with no clockwork recovery. Havent really done anything just wanted my phone "rooted" for the day this came.

I downloaded this clockwork recovery and renamed it update.zip i dunno if that is good enough:
