Disreguard my god OK THANK YOU DROID X THANK YOU CORY im back in somewhat biz however how do you remove voodoo prior to installing Foyo

So I was downloading all my apps again after flashing DL30 and I deleted the two things for the Swype so I could reinstall the beta and now I'm getting a twlauncher force close loop... Any ideas?

Ok, it says 1 (COM 7) in yellow in the small rectangle below com port mapping. Still says invalid file when i click pda and then open the clockwork file.

Unfortunately, sometimes certain apps (like Swype) that you wouldn't expect to be essential end up causing problems like that when you remove them. You're only solution is probably going to be to re-flash DL30, unless you're familiar with ADB and can push the Swype APK (which we can't post here, sorry) to the phone manually.

are you unzipping the file? or leaving it zipped?

Boot into red CWM Recovery, go to voodoo, select disable lagfix. It will do that on next boot so RESTART to actually turn it off. It will take a few mins.

Try restarting first. Some apps, like VSuite, will give you FC's when you delete them but a restart clears it up.

md5 is a type of compressed file that can be unpacked like a zip.

That's correct there is no zip. It's the tar file you want. Have you tried to close ODIN and restart with your phone unplugged and then plug it in with the volume down? I've heard that using the same instance of ODIN over and over again is not a good idea.

Yeah, I tried a couple times but the force close loop keeps coming back. I'm gonna try a battery pull and power cycle it and see if that possibly would have a different outcome, which I doubt but hopefully.

@CK

Try deleting all traces of the tar file. it sounds like it is corrupt or incomplete if odin is saying its invalid, this has happened to me when i got over zealous and didnt wait for a full package file to finish downloading

I just restarted my puter and tried again but when I click pda and then the file it says invalid file type, I'm running windows 7, does this matter, and it doesnt do anything. Phone is yellow in ODIN.....I waited until it was finished downloading for sure.... I guess I could DL it again....

If you right click on that file and then go to properties are you sure there's not an extra extension appended to the end?

I'm sure, it says and I copied and pasted....CWMRecovery_DJ05_DL09_RED.tar.md5.
AND I just DL it again and it says the same when I click pda, invalid file type.....
