I stay with VZW because of the service reliability.... it is always there.
Yes, VZW and AT&T are expensive carriers, but they can be negotiated with at times.
Just last Thursday, I wanted to replace the wife's old LG flip phone with a Samsung S4 mini which they offered to me at 99 cents.
umm, since I'm not sure how much "smartphone" the wife will understand, I thought that 99 cents is affordable.
right up until I went to confirm the transaction. Then there appeared a $30 upgrade fee.... end of story, I got off the internet and dialed up 611 and asked for a supervisor.
20 minutes later, I got a $30 credit to my account because I'm a 20 year veteran of VZW and they want to keep me. Did I mention that I threatened to just move all of my accounts over to T-Mobile ????

I closed out the deal for 99 cents..... but, upgrading to a smart phone did add $10/month to the monthly charges for her line.
oh well, guess she is worth it http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/images/emoticons/needahug.gif
