lecturenotes "import pdf as notebook" fails

[Android Central Question]

In the past I regularly imported pdfs into lecturenotes as notebooks without any problems. Now import of any pdf is impossible. The error message is always "Cannot start service (Android error) please try again".

My questions:
- What can I do about this?
- How can I pin down the cause of the problem?
- My Android version is pretty old (4.1.2) as is the device (Samsung GT-N8010) may this be related?
- I noticed that pdfview has been updated recently (as of September 5th) may that be related?

Have you checked with the app developer? They might be able to guide you to some bug reporting within the app that will help trace the error.

However - it's quite possible your Android version contributes to this. 4.1.2 is quite old and is no longer supported for Play Services updates.

Welcome to Android Central! Here's the email for the developer: devel@acadoid.com. I agree with hallux -- with an Android version that old, you're bound to run into more and more compatibility issues with apps. Upgrade to a tablet with a more current OS version.

I don't think the problem is with the last update, the changes only affect Android 10 and newer.

Is there enough free space in the file system on the device?
