AC Question

Hello!

After transferring images from my PC to my tablet, about 10% of my photos won't be displayed.
Neither the lenovo gallery nor quickpick is able to open these images or create thumbnails.

I already tried to delete the .thumbnail directory and the media storage data.

When I try to open certain files in the file browser it says 'image corrupted'.
Yet I am able to access these exact files on Windows, Linux and even other Android 5 devices withouth any problems!
Even after retransferring them to other devices.

Most of the "corrupted" files have been edited in GIMP. Maybe the tablet has problems reading the EXIF-data?

Does anyone experience similar problems or has any ideas?

Thank you in advance!

I am owning a Lenovo Yoga Tab 2-10 running on Android 5.0.1.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you transfer the photos to Internal Storage or a microSD card? If the latter, the card might be corrupt. Try a different card.

If you transferred them to Internal Storage, then how many photos did you transfer at a time? Sometimes there can be data errors when copying a huge amount of data over USB all at once. Try copying the photos over in smaller batches.
